World stars and Bergen artists side by side! Organisers are finally releasing the complete lineup for Bergenfest 2026 with both international audience favorites and a solid dose of Western Norway uniqueness.
Among the names released are DERMOT KENNEDY, NATASHA BEDINGFIELD, VERONICA MAGGIO, THE KOOKS and OF MONSTERS AND MEN. These artists join a festival program that has already secured big names such as LEWIS CAPALDI, DAGNY, SIGRID, KA2, THE HIVES, SYNNE VO and TOBIAS STEN.
The festival has also given significant space to artists with roots in Western Norway – something that has long been part of the festival’s identity. Among these are Fjorden Baby!, who have long since achieved legendary status – nationally and at home in Bergen. Bergens Tidende called Bendik’s new album “the best Bergen rock in a long time”, while Zupermaria received top scores in the same newspaper when she played at Bergenfest back in 2022. Nelly Moar, Linni and Side Brok have also been confirmed for this year’s festival.
Sienna Spiro is one of the most exciting artists on this year’s bill. She was confirmed for Bergenfest last summer, but unfortunately had to cancel. In retrospect, we’re actually happy about it as her career has really taken off recently and especially after the release of the beautiful single Die On This Hill. Don’t sleep on this one! – Andreas Lindborg, Bergenfest promoter
Irish songwriter DERMOT KENNEDY has cemented his position as one of Europe’s most sought-after live artists in recent years. With songs like “Outnumbered”, “Power Over Me” and “Giants”, he has built a large and dedicated audience. On stage, he is known for his intense, emotionally charged concerts, whether in intimate spaces or large arenas. With new songs on the way in 2026 and an extensive arena tour in Europe, Dermot Kennedy comes to Bergenfest with a catalogue that invites both explosive sing-alongs and goosebump-inducing moments.
NATASHA BEDINGFIELD brings with her songs that still fill dance floors and create sing-alongs around the world. With her breakthrough song “Unwritten” in the early 2000s, Natasha Bedingfield not only marked herself as a new pop star – she became part of a larger cultural breakthrough. Her songs not only climbed the charts, they became entrenched in the zeitgeist and have since resurfaced in ever new contexts. During Bergenfest, everything is in place for a set full of pop songs that are already in the spines of large parts of the audience.

VERONICA MAGGIO continues to leave a clear mark. In September 2025, she broke the audience record at Nya Studenternas in Uppsala, where over 17,000 fans filled the arena. Just a few months earlier, she also set a record for attendance at Gröna Lund in Stockholm. In 2026, Maggio will only do a few exclusive concerts, including at Bergenfest, with a repertoire full of songs that many people have a relationship with.
THE KOOKS broke through with their debut album Inside In/Inside Out in 2006. Songs like “Naive”, “She Moves in Her Own Way” and “Ooh La” quickly made them one of the biggest bands in the British indie boom, with over two million copies of their debut sold. Twenty years later, the songs have been given a new lease of life. When The Kooks come to Bergenfest, it is with a catalog that is still in their bodies, and a comeback that feels as much like a new start as a nostalgic reunion.
OF MONSTERS AND MEN had their big breakthrough with their debut album My Head Is an Animal in 2011, fronted by the megahit “Little Talks”, which quickly took the band from Reykjavik to stages all over the world. Since then, they have released several albums and built a large international audience. In 2025, they released the album All Is Love and Pain in the Mouse Parade. With songs like “Television Love”, “Ordinary Creature” and “Tuna in the Can” in their luggage, it is time for a long-awaited reunion with a band that has been a regular part of the indie soundtrack for the past decade.
