The first names for the 29th edition of Graspop Metal Meeting are here… are you ready? On Thursday 18 June, LIMP BIZKIT, MEGADETH and WITHIN TEMPTATION will rule the festival arena at Graspop Metal Meeting! Limp Bizkit is headlining the North Stage on festival Thursday. Within Temptation will roam the South Stage. Also on the North Stage that day: Megadeth!
We don’t need to tell you the guys in LIMP BIZKIT know just how to raise the roof. New material is few and far between these days but in a live setting the hits are the driving force behind the show. If you saw them two years ago at GMM you know what you’re in for: a huge nu-metal shindig chock-full of hits and mosh pits!
With WITHIN TEMPTATION we once again welcome a leading Dutch symphonic metal band to Dessel. Next year the band around Sharon den Adel is celebrating its 30th anniversary and in those three decades they’ve released eight studio albums, most recently 2023’s ‘Bleed Out’. Three years after their previous appearance they return to Dessel to claim the tenth notch on their GMM belt.
With great pleasure organisers add one of the Big Four of thrash metal to next summer’s bill. The mighty MEGADETH, the band around Dave Mustaine, recently announced both their farewell tour and the 3 January release of their 17th and final studio album. Brace for impact as Megadeth serve up a mix of classics and new tunes. We can’t wait!
The headliners for Friday 19 June. VOLBEAT will be closing out the South Stage. TWISTED SISTER will do the honours on the North Stage! Organisers are also adding BREAKING BENJAMIN to the roster for the North Stage.
‘Danish Dynamite’ aptly describes the lads in VOLBEAT. Their one-of-a-kind blend of rockabilly, hard rock and metal is a guarantee for an energetic, riff-laden show that keeps the crowd moving until the final note dies down. Earlier this year they dropped their ninth full-length, ‘God of Angels Trust’. Gear up for a memorable performance bursting with new material and Volbeat classics!
Half a century of TWISTED SISTER! If that isn’t cause for celebration, we don’t know what is! Dee Snider and the boys will conclude North Stage festivities on Friday 19 June on the Belgian leg of their 50th anniversary tour. Their previous shows at GMM were nothing short of legendary so lubricate those vocal chords and roar along with Dee Snider as the band celebrates 50 years of heavy rock.
GMM newcomers BREAKING BENJAMIN are definitely one to look out for in this year’s line-up. The alternative metal band fronted by Benjamin Burnley rarely tours Europe and is making its first appearance on Belgian soil. Ready to finally hear ‘The Diary of Jane’ and ‘I Will Not Bow’ live? See you in front of the North Stage on 19 June!
