Robbie Williams Is Bringing the Show to Colours of Ostrava 2027!

Robbie Williams headlines Colours of Ostrava

Colours of Ostrava has made a serious statement with its first announcement for 2027. ROBBIE WILLIAMS is heading to the festival, bringing one of the biggest personalities in British pop to the industrial setting of Dolní Vítkovice on 21st July.

It is a booking that makes sense on several levels. Williams has never been an artist who simply turns up, sings the songs and leaves. His concerts are built around personality, humour, big moments and an almost instinctive ability to work a crowd.  That makes a festival setting particularly interesting.

Colours of Ostrava will be Williams’ first Czech festival appearance, following his solo shows in Prague. He arrives with a catalogue packed with songs that have become part of British pop culture, from the Take That years through to a solo career that has produced hits including Angels, Rock DJ, Let Me Entertain You and Feel.

There is also some serious live history behind the name. Williams’ three Knebworth shows in 2003 attracted 375,000 people across a single weekend, while his Close Encounters tour went on to set a record for tickets sold in a single day.

But statistics only tell part of the story!

Williams’ appeal has always been as much about the performer as the songs. He can turn a stadium into a conversation, move between comedy and sentiment within the same set and make an enormous crowd feel as though they are involved in the show rather than simply watching it.

That should work particularly well at Colours, where the setting is a major part of the festival experience. The event takes over the former industrial complex of Dolní Vítkovice, creating a backdrop that feels very different from the usual field or city-centre festival environment.

Williams will headline on 21 July, the opening day of the 2027 festival, which runs from 21st – 24th July. He is also the first artist announced, meaning there is plenty more to come before the full picture emerges.

The festival will once again feature Meltingpot, which celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2027, adding its programme of talks and debates to the music, theatre and wider cultural offering.

For now, though, the spotlight belongs to Robbie.  Colours of Ostrava has started its 2027 story with an entertainer who knows exactly what to do when the lights go down and tens of thousands of people are waiting.

He has one job in Ostrava – Let him entertain you!
