Buckeye Country Superfest has gone big for 2027. CHRIS STAPLETON will headline the Columbus festival on 10th July, with CODY JOHNSON and PARKER MCCOLLUM joining him for a heavyweight day of country music at Ohio Stadium.
Stapleton is the obvious name to put at the top of a bill like this. A multi-Grammy-winning artist with a voice that can move effortlessly between stripped-back country, Southern rock and something much bigger, he has become one of the defining performers of modern country music.
But this is far from a one-name lineup!
CODY JOHNSON brings a very different kind of energy. His traditional country roots and unmistakable live presence have made him one of the genre’s biggest current stars, while PARKER MCCOLLUM adds his own blend of country, rock and Americana to the day.
Then there is the newer generation.
Americana and indie-folk duo Buffalo Traffic Jam, country-rock artist BLAKE WHITEN and country-pop singer LACI KAYE BOOTH complete the six-act lineup, giving the festival some fresh names alongside its established headliners. The setting matters too. Ohio Stadium is hardly a small-country venue, and Buckeye Country Superfest has built its identity around making the annual Columbus event feel like a major summer occasion rather than simply another concert.
There is something particularly fitting about Stapleton leading the 2027 edition. His music has always sat comfortably between the traditional and the contemporary, which mirrors a country audience that increasingly wants both. You can have classic songwriting, big guitars and modern country production on the same stage without one cancelling out the other.
And with the event taking place on a Saturday in July, the ingredients are already there for one of those big American summer music days: a stadium, a huge country crowd and a lineup designed to keep the energy building from the first set to the final encore.
Buckeye Country Superfest returns on 10 July 2027.
And with CHRIS STAPLETON at the top of the poster, Ohio is already looking like one of country music’s big summer destinations.
