The Lisbon festival is building an eclectic bill for July 2027, with British groove collective JUNGLE, acclaimed electronic artist JAMES BLAKE and alternative rock pioneers FAITH NO MORE joining an already impressive list of names.
NOS Alive is continuing to build momentum for its 2027 edition, with three major additions bringing very different sounds to the Portuguese festival. From JUNGLE’s infectious blend of modern disco and soul to JAMES BLAKE’s atmospheric electronic music and the genre-bending rock of FAITH NO MORE, the latest announcements underline the festival’s broad musical ambitions.
First up, JUNGLE will take over the NOS Stage on 8th July, the opening day of the festival. The London group, formed in 2013 by Tom McFarland and J Lloyd and joined by Lydia Kitto in 2024, have developed a distinctive sound that combines disco, soul, hip-hop and electronic production with striking visual performances. Their self-titled debut album broke into the UK Top 10, while For Ever and Loving in Stereo helped establish them as one of the most exciting acts in contemporary dance music.
Their latest album, Sunshine, released in 2026, continues that evolution with 11 new tracks built around rich harmonies, warm production and themes of connection, hope and acceptance. Following sold-out shows at London’s O2 and Lisbon’s MEO Arena, JUNGLE return to the Portuguese capital for what promises to be one of the festival’s most danceable sets. They join THE STROKES, THE NEIGHBOURHOOD and BEIRUT among the acts already confirmed for the opening day.
The festival’s Heineken Stage will welcome JAMES BLAKE on 10th July, the final day of NOS Alive 2027. The British singer, songwriter and producer has spent more than a decade carving out a distinctive place in modern music, blending electronic experimentation, intimate songwriting and soulful vocals. His self-titled debut arrived in 2011, earning a UK Top 10 position and a Mercury Prize nomination, before Overgrown won the award in 2013.
Since then, BLAKE has continued to push boundaries as both a solo artist and a sought-after collaborator, working with major names including Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, Sza, Rosalía and Kendrick Lamar. At NOS Alive, he is expected to present material from Trying Times, his seventh and most recent album, described as his most personal work to date. Its reflective songwriting and inventive production should make for a compelling contrast to the festival’s larger rock and indie performances.
Perhaps the most surprising addition comes on 9th July, when FAITH NO MORE take to the NOS Stage. Formed in San Francisco in 1979, the band helped reshape alternative rock by bringing heavy metal, funk, hip-hop and progressive influences together in a sound that refused to fit neatly into any one category. Their breakthrough album, The Real Thing, arrived in 1989 and delivered the enduring hit “Epic”, establishing the band as one of the defining acts of the alternative rock movement.
Follow-up albums including Angel Dust, King for a Day… Fool for a Lifetime and Album of the Year cemented their reputation for musical unpredictability and fearless experimentation. After splitting in 1998, FAITH NO MORE reunited for live performances in 2009 and later released Sol Invictus in 2015. Their NOS Alive appearance will give Portuguese fans another chance to experience a band whose influence continues to resonate across alternative and heavy music.
The three announcements add further variety to a line-up that already features TAME IMPALA, MYLES SMITH, SOMBR, THE STROKES, THE NEIGHBOURHOOD and BEIRUT. With indie rock, psychedelic pop, contemporary soul, electronic music and alternative metal all represented, NOS Alive is shaping up to offer plenty of reasons to head to Lisbon next summer.
NOS Alive 2027 takes place from 8th – 10th July at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés, just outside Lisbon. More acts are expected to be announced in the coming months, but with JUNGLE, JAMES BLAKE and FAITH NO MORE now confirmed, the festival is already offering a line-up with plenty of contrasting musical highlights.
