Download Festival 2026 Unleashes Second Wave and Day Splits

Download Festival UK 2026

The spiritual home of rock is officially ready to rumble. Following a weekend of intense speculation, Download Festival has finally dropped a massive second wave of artists for 2026, alongside the highly anticipated day splits. With the legendary Donington Park turf preparing to host the 23rd edition of the UK’s premier rock and metal bash from 10th to 14th June, these new additions have turned an already stellar bill into an absolute must-see marathon of heavy music.

Leading the charge in this latest announcement are Florida’s pop-punk heavyweights A DAY TO REMEMBER, who are set to bring their signature high-octane energy to the Opus Stage. They aren’t the only ones shaking up the middle of the poster; we’re also seeing the arrival of the goth-rock powerhouse CREEPER and the infectious alt-rock sounds of HOT MILK. For those who like their rock with a side of television history, American post-grunge icons DAUGHTRY are also confirmed to make a rare and welcome UK appearance.

Perhaps the most intriguing addition to the roster is THE PRIMALS. As the official band of Final Fantasy XIV, they are making history by performing their first-ever show outside of Asia right here in the East Midlands. It’s a bold move that highlights the festival’s growing diversity. Speaking of unique acts, the Santiago death metal outfit DECESSUS is joining the fray, fronted by the viral sensation and Miss World Chile, Ignacia Fernández, whose brutal vocal range has been the talk of the metal community for months.

The announcement also brings a heavy dose of home-grown and international talent to round out the weekend. Math-rock fans can celebrate the return of MARMOZETS, while hardcore devotees will be ready to throw down for the legendary Stampin’ Ground. Japan’s BAND-MAID will showcase their unique brand of “hard rock maid” fusion, and the likes of CONJURER, ANNISOKAY and SILLY GOOSE ensure that every sub-genre from visceral post-metal to 2000s rap-metal revivalism is represented.

With the day splits now confirmed, fans can start the agonising process of planning their weekend. Friday belongs to the nu-metal nostalgia and modern carnage of LIMP BIZKIT, supported by a party-starting lineup including PENDULUM and ELECTRIC CALLBOY. Saturday sees the return of the world’s most dangerous band, GUNS N’ ROSES, while Sunday promises an emotional and historic closing set from LINKIN PARK, featuring Emily Armstrong on vocals alongside Mike Shinoda.

The demand for the 2026 event has already been unprecedented, and with the reveal of these 14 new acts, the final remaining weekend tickets are expected to vanish. If you can’t make the full five days, there is good news: day tickets have officially gone on sale this week. Whether you’re there for the mosh pits, the melodic choruses, or the chance to see Keanu Reeves with DOGSTAR, Download 2026 is shaping up to be a definitive moment in British rock history.
