Good Things Festival is going big for 2026. After a three-year absence, Australia’s travelling alternative music festival returns to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this December with LIMP BIZKIT at the top of the bill.
And this isn’t simply a nostalgia booking.
When LIMP BIZKIT appeared at Good Things in 2023, they were already one of the festival’s biggest attractions. Since then, the band’s live reputation has gone into another gear. Their 2024 appearance at the UK’s Download Festival reportedly drew a crowd larger than the festival’s headliners, eventually leading to Limp Bizkit being given the headline slot themselves in 2026, 23 years after they were originally scheduled to headline Download’s inaugural edition.
Now they return to Australia as headliners, with their 30-plus-year career, more than 40 million records sold and a catalogue containing some of nu metal’s biggest anthems, including Nookie, Break Stuff and Rollin’. Their 1999 album Significant Other reached No.1 in the US, while Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water became one of the defining rock albums of the early 2000s.
But Good Things 2026 is far more than one headline act!
SIMPLE PLAN, SPIRITBOX, POLARIS, THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS, BAD RELIGION, ALEXISONFIRE, GRINSPOON, MILLENCOLIN, MINISTRY, NECK DEEP, P.O.D., SPEED and THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA are among the major names on a bill that deliberately spans generations of alternative music.
There are some particularly strong stories within that line-up. THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS return to Australia for the first time in more than 17 years, ALEXISONFIRE will perform their influential Crisis album in full for its 20th anniversary, while MILLENCOLIN do the same with Pennybridge Pioneers.
There will also be a farewell. Industrial metal pioneers MINISTRY are making their final Australian performances at Good Things, while Australian rock institution GRINSPOON and hardcore powerhouse SPEED add plenty of homegrown firepower.
The festival takes over Melbourne on December 4th, Sydney on December 5th and Brisbane on December 6th, with all three events open to fans aged 16 and over.
After their remarkable resurgence, LIMP BIZKIT are arriving in Australia at exactly the right moment. And if their recent festival performances are anything to go by, Good Things 2026 could be one very loud end to the Australian festival year.
