TW Classic adds four new bands for 2026!

TW Classic Belgium 2026

New names for TW Classic! The Werchter one-day festival, taking place on Saturday 11th July, brings a series of artists who have left their mark on music history to the Festivalpark for a day full of classics.

dEUS brings Worst Case versus In a Bar to Werchter, a set built around the iconic albums ‘Worst Case Scenario’ and ‘In a Bar, Under the Sea’. ELVIS COSTELLO also dives into his remarkable archive and presents Radio Soul: the early songs of Elvis Costello at TW Classic. The Brit will be accompanied by THE IMPOSTERS and CHARLIE SEXTON. COUNTING CROWS will deliver a sing-along celebration with their timeless hits. And then there is also a grand return by MONZA. Recently, their debut album ‘Van God Los’ was released for the first time both digitally and on vinyl.

That will be celebrated live as well. It was previously announced that BRYAN ADAMS will come to TW Classic 2026. More artists will be added to the lineup soon.

‘Worst Case Scenario’ (1994) by dEUS is arguably the most crucial Belgian rock album of all time. And it is certainly the best national debut ever. ‘In a Bar, Under the Sea’ (1996) confirmed, exactly 30 years ago, that the pride and hope sparked by that powerful debut were well founded. Together, the first two dEUS albums contain enough songs to fill a fantastic festival set. “Suds & Soda”. And “Via”. And “Hotellounge”. And “Roses”. And “Theme From Turnpike”. And “Little Arithmetics”.

ELVIS COSTELLO’S catalogue is so vast and of such high quality that he can already assemble a fabulous setlist from just a small part of it. During Radio Soul! The Early Songs of Elvis Costello, the Englishman selects songs he wrote between 1977 and 1986, from the albums ‘My Aim Is True’ to ‘Blood & Chocolate’. Elvis Costello & The Imposters feature three people on board: keyboardist Steve Nieve, drummer Pete Thomas, and Costello himself, who were already involved in recording all that great material back in the day. They are joined by guitarist Charlie Sexton, known for his many years alongside Bob Dylan.

COUNTING CROWS made an impression in 1991 at a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame event with “Mr. Jones” and quickly grew into a mainstay of American rock. Their cover of Joni Mitchell’s “Big Yellow Taxi” became an unexpected hit in 2002 thanks to the film Two Weeks Notice. In 2004, “Accidentally in Love” followed on the soundtrack of Shrek 2, earning an Oscar nomination. The San Francisco band is known for consistently strong live performances.

After the breakup of Noordkaap in 2000, Stijn Meuris founded MONZA. The band scored an immediate hit with “Van God Los,” which spent half a year in De Afrekening on Studio Brussel and earned them a spot at Rock Werchter 2001. After three albums and changing line-ups, the band called it a day in 2009. Now, 25 years after their first appearance at Werchter, Monza (Stijn Meuris, David Poltrock, Mario Goossens, and Piet De Pessemier) make a glorious comeback on the occasion of the reissue of their debut album ‘Van God Los’.
