Tinderbox 2027 already has its first big name and it’s a good one. British pop icons TAKE THAT are heading to Odense next summer, where they will bring their huge catalogue of hits, big melodies and unmistakable feel-good energy to Tusindårsskoven from 24th – 26th June 2027.
Few British pop groups have had quite the journey of TAKE THAT. Formed in Manchester in 1990, the group quickly became one of the biggest names in pop, winning over audiences with a winning mix of catchy pop, R&B influences, soulful melodies and enormous ballads. What started as a British answer to the American boy-band boom soon became a global phenomenon.
By the mid-1990s, TAKE THAT were practically impossible to escape in the best possible way. Songs such as “Back for Good”, “Relight My Fire” and “Pray” became massive international hits, turning the group into one of the defining pop acts of the decade. Their appeal crossed generations, with the BBC even describing them at the time as the most successful British band since The Beatles.
The story didn’t end there. Following a decade-long break, TAKE THAT returned in 2006 and quickly reminded everyone exactly why they had become pop superstars in the first place. The comeback produced another string of huge songs, including “Patience”, “Shine”, “Rule the World” and “The Flood”, adding a whole new chapter to the band’s already impressive hit list.
Today, TAKE THAT continue to be a major force on the live circuit. The current line-up of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen recently completed a run of sold-out stadium shows across the UK, proving that the band’s ability to put on a huge pop spectacle has lost none of its shine.
And there is more new music on the way. The group have recently released several new singles, giving fans a taste of their upcoming tenth studio album, expected towards the end of 2026.
Now they are bringing all of that momentum to Denmark. Expect the biggest songs, plenty of nostalgia, and the kind of giant singalong moments that festivals are made for.
TAKE THAT are the first name on the Tinderbox 2027 line-up and if this is anything to go by, there is plenty more excitement still to come.
