Pinkpop has fired the starting gun on its 2027 edition, announcing a first wave of artists led by pop-punk favourites BLINK-182, folk-rock giants MUMFORD & SONS and British superstar RAYE. The Dutch festival has also confirmed appearances from STING, THE PRODIGY, TURNSTILE, KACEY MUSGRAVES, ROYAL BLOOD and NOTHING BUT THIEVES, setting the scene for a weekend that moves between generations, genres and some very different corners of the musical landscape.
The 56th edition of Pinkpop will take place at Megaland in Landgraaf from 18th to 20th June 2027. With the first 31 names now revealed, the festival has made a confident opening statement, balancing major international headliners with alternative rock, electronic music, country and a strong selection of Dutch artists.
For fans of pop-punk, Sunday’s headline appearance from BLINK-182 is an immediate draw. The Californian trio will make their Pinkpop debut, bringing a catalogue that helped define a generation of punk-inspired alternative rock. Their arrival adds another major European festival date to the band’s schedule and should make for a huge closing day at Megaland.
Saturday belongs to MUMFORD & SONS, who are making an exception to their planned festival break in 2027 to return to Landgraaf. The British group have built their reputation on a blend of folk instrumentation, sweeping choruses and stadium-sized singalongs, making their return a significant booking for the festival.
Friday’s headline slot goes to RAYE, whose rise has taken her from acclaimed songwriter to one of Britain’s most compelling pop performers. The appearance will mark her first headline performance at a festival in the Netherlands, giving her a major platform to bring her powerful vocals and emotionally direct songwriting to Pinkpop’s main stage.
THE PRODIGY, STING AND TURNSTILE BROADEN THE BILL
The headliners are only part of the story. The first announcement also brings together artists whose sounds and audiences could hardly be more different, giving Pinkpop plenty of options beyond its three biggest names.
Electronic music legends THE PRODIGY are among Friday’s confirmed acts, promising a dose of relentless beats and rave-fuelled energy. Their presence gives the opening day a harder edge, while STING will perform on Saturday with his 3.0 project. The former Police frontman has a particularly long history with Pinkpop, having played a breakthrough show with The Police at the festival in 1979. His return brings that story full circle almost five decades later.
For heavier music fans, TURNSTILE are another standout addition. The Baltimore band have become one of the most exciting names in contemporary hardcore, taking the genre to increasingly broad audiences without losing the urgency of their live performances. They join a rock contingent that includes Royal Blood, Nothing But Thieves, Wolf Alice and Foals.
Elsewhere, BASTILLE and CHVRCHES bring alternative pop and electronic textures to the programme, while beabadoobee adds her distinctive blend of indie rock and guitar-driven songwriting. Australian pop-rock outfit 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER will also appear, alongside KACEY MUSGRAVES, whose modern country sound provides another change of pace.
The singer-songwriter contingent includes MYLES SMITH, CHANCE PEÑA and DYLAN GOSSETT, while Irish folk group THE MARY WALLOPERS offer a very different kind of live energy. AMBLE are also confirmed, adding further folk influences to an increasingly varied bill.
DUTCH ARTISTS TAKE THEIR PLACE
Pinkpop has also made room for homegrown talent, with several Dutch acts included in the first wave. FROUKJE, THE OPPOSITES, ANTOON, JETT REBEL, JET VAN DER STEEN, MILOLAATHETLUKKEN and THE BAUSA will all perform, reflecting the breadth of the country’s contemporary music scene.
Local representation is an important part of Pinkpop’s identity, and the festival will once again give emerging and established Dutch performers a platform alongside international headliners. Limburg’s MAZOO, winner of the Limburgse Popprijs, is also confirmed and will open the festival, continuing a tradition of showcasing regional talent.
Other names announced include KEO and SOUTH ARCADE, adding further variety to the opening line-up. As ever, the first announcement is only a starting point, with more acts still to come and further details expected in the months ahead.
PINKPOP SETS THE STAGE FOR SUMMER 2027
Founded in 1970, Pinkpop remains one of Europe’s longest-running music festivals. Its 2027 edition will bring audiences back to Megaland for three days of live music, with a programme that already stretches from pop-punk and hardcore to electronic music, country and chart-topping pop.
The combination of blink-182, Mumford & Sons and RAYE gives each day a distinct headline identity, while the supporting names suggest a festival designed to appeal well beyond any single genre. With The Prodigy, Sting, Turnstile, Royal Blood and Wolf Alice among those already confirmed, there is plenty here for fans who like their festival weekends to move between big singalongs and more adventurous live performances.
