Attention all Creedence Clearwater Revival fans! We’ve got your Easter weekend sorted in the most amazing way. Country Fest Queensland is back for its second year with an absolutely phenomenal offering in the form of American country rock royalty JOHN FOGERTY.
For the first time since 2012, JOHN FOGERTY is back in Australia and is hitting the stages of Country Fest exclusively – its his only Australian show. He’ll be performing for over two hours, with a set of his own songs, then a second set performing as Creedence Clearwater Revival. For the first time since 1972, Australian fans can expect to hear the CCR hits they know and love from the legend himself.
JOHN FOGERTY is a true American treasure. As leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty forged a distinctive, groundbreaking sound all his own, equal parts blues, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B, swamp boogie, and Southern fried rock ‘n’ roll, all united by his uniquely evocative lyrical perspective. Fogerty is a Grammy winner and has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as well as the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Among Fogerty’s many hit songs, both as a solo artist and as leader of CCR, highlights include “Centerfield,” “Proud Mary,” “Susie Q,” “Fortunate Son,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” among many others.
Fogerty will be joined by Australian country phenomenon MORGAN EVANS, the legendary outback icon LEE KERNAGHAN and JAMES JOHNSTON along with a tractor-load of talent from around Australia.
