Originating from New Jersey, USA, My Chemical Romance are a rock band that became one of the most influential groups of the early 2000s. They were founded in 2001 by vocalist Gerard Way, following the September 11th attacks, which he has cited as a motivation to make a difference in the world. The band’s classic lineup solidified with his brother Mikey Way on bass, and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero.

Their most successful album in the UK, The Black Parade, has been certified three times Platinum for sales of over 900,000 units, while Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge has also achieved Platinum status. Globally, they have sold millions of albums, with The Black Parade alone selling over four million copies worldwide.
My Chemical Romance are renowned for their massive, theatrical live shows. They have toured extensively across the globe, playing in major venues and headlining festivals. In the UK, they have a dedicated fan base and have played to huge crowds, including multiple sold-out nights at arenas and stadiums like the Milton Keynes National Bowl and, more recently, Wembley Stadium as part of their “Long Live The Black Parade” tour. Their reunion tour in 2022 saw them playing to colossal audiences, a testament to their enduring popularity after their initial split in 2013 and subsequent return in 2019.
