Tame Impala to Headline Rock Werchter 2027

Tame Impala headlines Rock Werchter 2027 in Belgium

Rock Werchter has revealed the first major name for its 2027 edition, and it is a big one: TAME IMPALA will headline the festival on Sunday, July 4th, bringing Kevin Parker’s psychedelic, genre-blurring world to the Festivalpark in Werchter, Belgium.

With the summer festival season still underway, Rock Werchter is already looking ahead to 2027. The announcement makes Tame Impala the festival’s first confirmed headliner, promising a colourful closing night built around psychedelic sounds, electronic grooves and an expansive live production.

The Australian project, led by multi-instrumentalist and producer Kevin Parker, has occupied a distinctive place in modern music since the release of InnerSpeaker in 2010. Across five albums, Parker has continually blurred the boundaries between psychedelic rock, pop and electronic music, developing a sound that has grown from cult favourite to global phenomenon.

Much of Tame Impala’s studio identity comes directly from Parker, who writes, produces, records and mixes the music while playing the instruments himself. On stage, that meticulously crafted studio sound expands into an immersive full-band experience designed for some of the world’s biggest festival stages.

Tame Impala’s catalogue now includes a string of international hits, from “Let It Happen” and “The Less I Know The Better” to “Lost In Yesterday,” “Is It True,” “Dracula” and “Loser.” The latter recently reached the top of the Global Spotify Chart, adding to the project’s already enormous streaming success.

Parker has also expanded his work beyond Tame Impala, contributing to major film soundtracks and collaborating in the studio with artists including Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, SZA, Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Mark Ronson and Gorillaz.

His reputation as a live performer is equally impressive. A sold-out performance at Antwerp’s AFAS Dome in May offered a recent reminder of Tame Impala’s ability to combine ambitious production, immersive visuals and Parker’s unmistakable musical universe into a huge live spectacle.

Now, the destination is Werchter.

Rock Werchter 2027 will run from July 1st – 4th with TAME IMPALA closing the festival on Sunday 4th July. Additional artists are expected to be announced in the coming months, while ticket information is due to follow in autumn.

If this first announcement is any indication, Rock Werchter 2027 is already shaping up to be one of next summer’s major festival events.
