Five days. 158,000 people. Atlantic waves, huge sets and one seriously good summer.
Boardmasters 2026 has officially wrapped up on the Cornish coast, bringing its trademark mix of music, surfing, sunshine and coastal culture to Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach.
The festival’s Main Stage delivered three huge headline moments, with FATBOY SLIM, LILY ALLEN and KASABIAN each bringing their own flavour to the weekend.
FATBOY SLIM transformed Watergate Bay into a giant seaside dancefloor on Friday, while LILY ALLEN delivered a standout Saturday performance centred around her West End Girl album. KASABIAN closed things out on Sunday with a typically explosive set.
But the lineup went well beyond the headliners. THE KOOKS, LOYLE CARNER, NIA ARCHIVES, RUDIMENTAL, PENDULUM (LIVE), GOLDIE (LIVE), THE DARKNESS, DIZZEE RASCAL, TINIE TEMPAH, EXAMPLE and EWAN MCVICAR were among the artists keeping the festival moving across its stages.
And then there was the surfing – Where music meets the Atlantic!
Boardmasters remains one of the UK’s most distinctive festivals because the music is only half the story.
Thousands gathered at Fistral Beach for the Boardmasters Open, which stepped up to WSL QS 4,000 status this year. France’s Sam Piter took the men’s shortboard title, while Janire Gonzalez Etxabarri won the women’s competition.
There was also a historic seventh Boardmasters title for Alice Lemoigne in the women’s longboard competition.
Away from the stages and surf, festivalgoers could dive into yoga, sound baths, ice baths, local Cornish food and a dedicated sensory calm space.
Boardmasters also used the festival to launch a new ocean protection initiative with Oceana UK, highlighting the fight against destructive bottom-trawling in UK Marine Protected Areas.
That’s a wrap
From cliffside DJ sets and massive headline shows to world-class surfing and Atlantic sunsets, Boardmasters 2026 once again proved that it’s much more than a music festival.
And there’s already another one on the horizon.
