Good folk of Green Man, organisers are beyond buzzing to introduce your headliners. First up, the indomitable WOLF ALICE – with a Mercury Prize, two BRIT Awards and two number 1 albums under their belts – make their long awaited GM debut!
Joining them is the one and only pioneering producer FOUR TET, who has a special place in GM’s history and hearts, having played in 2004, 2009 and 2019. Four Tet returns on an entirely new scale, yet never loses the intimate magic that characterises his sets, and there can be no setting more appropriate for him than our Black Mountains.
And then there’s legendary Chicago indie-rockers, WILCO. They can be hushed, they can be thunderous, but what’s never changed across three decades is their determination to treat the band as “a constantly evolving idea”.
MOGWAI will kick off proceedings in Far Out with their expansive soundscapes as they headline Thursday night. Revered for their seismic instrumentals, sprawling atmospheres and explosive crescendos, the band’s discography spans a 30-year career that leaves senses shaken and souls stirred.
And where to begin with the rest!? Well, the news that THE BETA BAND were reuniting could only be topped by the fact that they’re heading to our hills with a Saturday night show that promises to be one for the history books! Plus, there’s the incomparable SPARKS, who continue to defy both genre and convention across a six-decade career and will deliver a super special festival exclusive set. And celebrating the 20th anniversary of her iconic album The Greatest, CAT POWER makes her long awaited GM debut, what an absolute thrill!
