After two years away, GOLDENSKY FESTIVAL is making its return in 2027, and it’s coming back with a serious country music line-up. ZACH BRYAN, MEGAN MORONEY, TREATY OAK REVIVAL and WHISKEY MYERS are among the first names announced for the festival’s comeback, set for 9th – 10th October at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California.
Produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, GoldenSky has confirmed a three-year commitment to Sacramento, with the festival set to return in 2027, 2028 and 2029. The announcement marks a new chapter for an event that has become a major destination for country fans on the West Coast.
We’ve missed GoldenSky, and after two years away, we knew if we were bringing it back, we needed to come back big. The 2027 bill brings together established stars and rising talent, with TY MYERS, HUDSON WESTBROOK, MAX MCNOWN, WYATT FLORES, VINCENT MASON and AVERY ANNA also confirmed. The wider line-up features THE BAND PERRY, ALEXANDRA KAY, BRAxton Keith, KAITLIN BUTTS, CARTER FAITH and WAYLON WYATT, among others.
GoldenSky has always looked beyond straight-ahead country, mixing in Americana, roots, rock and pop to create a festival that feels as much about discovering new favourites as catching the big names. That approach looks set to continue in 2027, with organisers promising a bigger experience across the two days.
And it’s not just about the music. The festival is expanding its offering with a host of food, drink and entertainment spaces, including the returning River City Dance Hall and Overtime Sports Bar. New additions include The Tailgate, an all-day hangout with local food and lawn games, plus themed bars and dining spots serving everything from margaritas and street tacos to California-style tri-tip.
For fans looking to upgrade their weekend, the new Country Club SVIP experience will offer an elevated mainstage viewing platform, an air-conditioned lounge and all-inclusive food and drinks. Camping is also being introduced for the first time, with official RV and car-and-tent options available at nearby Cal Expo, alongside shuttle services to the festival.
GoldenSky’s return is also a boost for Sacramento, with the festival and its sister event Aftershock together generating an estimated $54 million in annual economic impact for the local community, according to organisers.
With ZACH BRYAN and MEGAN MORONEY among the headline names and more artists still to come, GoldenSky is already giving country fans plenty of reasons to put Sacramento on their autumn festival calendar.
