The Chemical Brothers and KALEO added to Northside Festival 2023

The Chemical Brothers headline Northside Festival Denmark 2023 news

Another two acts have also been added to the electronic stage ELECTRA at Northside Festival in Denmark this summer!

The Danish festival NorthSide, taking place in Aarhus from June 1st – 3rd, is welcoming spring with the news of four new artists visiting the festival this summer.

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS will be closing the main stage on Friday June 2nd bringing their pioneering break beat style to Aarhus – a style that revolutionized the 90’s, bridging the gap between the world of electronic music and the rock scene. The British duo, consisting of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, made waves with their second record Dig Your Own Hole from 1997 and since then released another seven records – the latest being the critically acclaimed No Geography released in 2019.

A new single titled “The Darkness That You Fear” landed in 2021 and they’ve already teased that lots is planned for 2023 which marks their 30th year as a band. With more than 12 million sold records and six GRAMMY-awards under their belt, THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS are inarguably one of the biggest and most influential electronic acts of all times.

Iceland’s billions-streaming band KALEO have mesmerized fans all over the world with their atmospheric blues- soul- and Americana-infused rock. KALEO broke through with the debut record A/B from 2016 which gave us singles like the #1 hit “Way Down We Go” and the GRAMMY-nominated “No Good”. The music has brought the band all around the globe to festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Tinderbox.

Last summer, the band played a sold-out headline show at Copenhagen’s Falkoner Salen, and now Aarhus will be next, when KALEO bring their majestic rock to NorthSide on June 3rd.

Australian house act DOM DOLLA and Canadian DJ and producer BLOND:ISH have both been added to the lineup for the electronic stage ELECTRA which already includes the likes of Meduza, LF System and Claptone.

There’s a wide range of genres represented at this year’s NorthSide where the international headliners are now made up by MUSE, THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS and NXWORRIES (Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge). Other international acts on the bill are THE 1975, FIRST AID KIT, PUSHA T, SAM FENDER, LP, YEMI ALADE, NOTHING BUT THIEVES, KEVIN MORBY and more, while GRAMMY-nominated Danish pop band LUKAS GRAHAM is this year’s domestic headliner.
