Lume Festival UK completes line up for 15th April 2023!

Lume Fest UK 2023 news

Lume Festival has announced a partnership with Signature Brew for the inaugural edition of the brand new one-day music festival based in Camden on Saturday 15th April.

Founded by Lauren Bell (Passion For Talent Management) and Adam Green (Lume Booking Agency) in August 2022, Lume Festival is a brand new multi-venue event with a strong focus on representing women, LGBTQ+ and POC. Signature Brew’s sponsorship completes a line-up that achieves that goal, with more than 50% falling into those categories – including headliners Dream State, Radio One and Kerrang! Radio DJ Alyx Holcombe, Lake Malice and Delaire The Liar.

When I started working in the music industry, particularly on the live side of things, I learnt very quickly that it’s very much ‘the boys club’. When Adam and I first talked about doing Lume Festival, we both agreed on wanting to provide opportunities for women, LGBTQ+ individuals and POC so that we were able to launch a festival that is both diverse and inclusive for all. This is also why the majority of our crew are women. Lume Festival is here to lead by example on the importance of lineups and events crew no longer being male dominated.

Hosted in Camden across The Underworld, The Black Heart and Camden Eye on Saturday 15th April, the Lume Festival all-dayer holds the distinction of being the first alternative music festival of the season, and gives fans the opportunity to catch the next big names in the scene affordably.

With tickets starting at just £46 for access to all three venues, Lume Festival offers the opportunity to catch breakthrough acts like BLACK ORCHID EMPIRE and LED BY LANTERNS in smaller settings. Meanwhile, the likes of THE BLACKOUT’S SEAN SMITH and DREAM STATE’S headline slot marking their live return from hiatus, makes this an unmissable ticket for any discerning fan of metal and alt rock.

As a woman who hasn’t always felt welcome in the metal scene,  it’s really important to me to headline the very first Lume Festival. I’m so excited to see so many females playing this festival – it’s almost as though the scene today can’t get enough of girl fronted bands! I can’t wait for this festival to grow year on year and to look back on this event and feel proud to have been part of it.

With Signature Brew coming aboard as event sponsors, the partnership continues their keen support of the up-and-comers of the alternative scene, following their series of gigs and events hosted at their brewery. They will have a select range available for purchase at the bars across all three venues, as well as supplying alcohol for the band riders and backstage.
