A$AP ROCKY’s music is genius. Since 2013, ‘Pretty Flacko’ As Stylish As Possible has been shaking up the hip-hop scene from Harlem with his unique flow, charismatic fun and wonderfully sharp lyrics. Joining him is singer-songwriter from L.A., who made a huge breakthrough last year with a whirlwind of dance pop and dark pop, and a spectacular, campy live show full of drag, please welcome CHAPPELL ROAN!
After almost thirty years of hard rocking, the Californians of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE know exactly how to grab their audience by the scruff of the neck: with a sophisticated fiery mix of old and new. Happy 2025! FONTAINES D.C., originally from Dublin, definitively transcended its post-punk roots in 2024 with the (celebrated) album ‘Romance’. The indie rock band is clearly knocking on the door of the premier league of pop music. On his second album ‘In Waves’ and behind the decks, English artist JAMIE xx (The xx) combines all his musical preferences in delicious sets that unite dance lovers from the entire club spectrum in one ecstatic club experience.
FRENNA & THE GANG’s afropop reinterpretation of the classic ‘Meisje Luister’ (Little Viezerik) was one of the biggest summer hits of 2024, featured on the album ‘Pink Summer’. The Hague native is by far the biggest artist in the Netherlands.
Since ADE 2021 one of the most requested and eagerly awaited back-to-back sets. JOB JOBSE & KI/KI join forces in flawless (euro)house, nostalgic trance and overwhelming techno. Pure euphoria.
A dry drum roll, a dull plopping bass, a sparkling guitar line bathed in reverb: that is the sober basis of the Texan KHRUANGBIN. Step in for a psychedelic journey through conviviality and enthusiasm. You know you are dealing with the British hip-hop trio LONDON GRAMMAR as soon as you hear Hannah Reid’s voice. Warm and serene, powerful and vulnerable. But make no mistake, this is an inseparable trinity. This French-American thoroughbred entertainer dares and does everything, preferably in slippers and a dressing gown. A loose cannon, but secretly a gifted DJ and inimitable improviser. Guests like MARC REBILLET, you want them at your party.
With his impressionistic guitar playing and hypnotic voice, MK.GEE from New Jersey makes picturesque songs that are secretly super weird. Truly no one sounds like this mysterious pop genius. The Netherlands’ oldest professional symphony orchestra treats Lowlands 2025 to a moshpit-proof selection of hard classical artistry. With masterpieces such as Beethoven’s ‘Fifth’, Holst’s ‘The Planets’ and Ravel’s ‘Bolero’.
Frontman Jacoby Shaddix raced across the stage like a madman during previous visits to Biddinghuizen. With their alternative rock and metal hits, the return of the American band PAPA ROACH is celebrated in style. RAYE used to write hits for others (‘Bigger’, Beyoncé), but the spotlight sought her out – and rightly so. Live, the British drags you along on a candid rollercoaster of raw emotion, jazzy grandeur and a rock-solid voice. With year-end list favourite ‘Only God Was Above Us’, VAMPIRE WEEKEND proved it again last year: the New York indie rockers are still at the top. So make your Lowlands Weekend a Vampire Weekend.
And finally for today the Californian trio WALLOWS rubs up against the cosiness of bedroom pop, but also shows the grit and muscles of (post) punk. And secretly it is bursting with atmospheric synths, production tricks and clever transitions.
