Lollapalooza India is going big for its fifth edition. The festival has unveiled its 2027 line-up, bringing a seriously varied mix of pop, rock, electronic, hip-hop, R&B and homegrown Indian talent to Mumbai next January.
Taking over Mahalaxmi Racecourse on 23rd – 24th January 2027, the two-day festival has assembled a line-up that jumps from Grammy-winning soul and rising K-pop stars to nu-metal nostalgia, indie rock and some of India’s most exciting contemporary artists. In other words, there should be very little chance of getting bored.
At the top of the bill are OLIVIA DEAN, LIMP BIZKIT, KATSEYE and FONTAINES D.C., with all four set to make their Indian debuts at the festival. It is an eclectic group of headliners, but that is exactly what makes the announcement so interesting.
OLIVIA DEAN arrives in Mumbai at a particularly exciting point in her career. Following the success of her albums Messy and The Art of Loving, the British singer has become one of the standout voices in contemporary soul and pop, and her 2026 Grammy win for Best New Artist has only added to the momentum. A Lollapalooza crowd should give her plenty of opportunity to show why she has become such a big name so quickly.
Then there is LIMP BIZKIT. The Fred Durst-fronted band will finally make their long-awaited Indian debut, bringing a very different kind of energy to the festival. Expect big riffs, plenty of nostalgia and a crowd that may suddenly remember just how much fun nu-metal can be.
KATSEYE are another major draw. The global girl group have rapidly become one of pop’s most talked-about new acts, and their appearance gives Lollapalooza India a strong connection to the current K-pop and global pop explosion. Their debut in India could easily become one of the weekend’s biggest talking points.
For fans of guitar music, FONTAINES D.C. will bring their darker, more atmospheric take on post-punk to Mumbai. They are joined by Australian pop-rock favourites 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER, while ST. VINCENT adds one of the festival’s most distinctive alternative voices to the bill.
The electronic side is well represented too, with Swedish House Mafia’s STEVE ANGELLO, Belgian duo 2MANYDJS and Japanese DJ and producer ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U all appearing across the weekend.
But what makes the 2027 line-up particularly interesting is the attention given to Indian artists. ANUV JAIN, INDIAN OCEAN, ADITYA GADHVI, THE MANGANIYAR SEDUCTION, BLACKSTRATBLUES, KAYAN, RHEA RAJ, SCRIBE, SWADESI, YASHRAJ and VARIJASHREE VENUGOPAL are among the homegrown names set to perform, giving the festival a strong local identity alongside its international bookings.
There are some particularly intriguing collaborations and special performances in the mix, too. STEWART COPELAND, the legendary drummer and co-founder of The Police, will appear with Indian composer and Grammy-winning artist RICKY KEJ for Police Beyond Borders. KAYAN and YASHRAJ are also set to introduce new bodies of work at the festival.
With more than 40 performances spread across four stages, Lollapalooza India 2027 looks less like a festival built around one particular sound and more like a snapshot of where popular music is heading right now. One stage could have you singing along to a huge pop chorus, while another takes you into electronic music, indie rock, hip-hop or Indian fusion.
That sense of discovery has always been part of Lollapalooza’s appeal, and the Mumbai edition is clearly leaning into it.
The fifth Lollapalooza India takes place at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on 23 and 24 January 2027. With this first full line-up now out in the open, the countdown to one of India’s biggest festival weekends has officially begun.
