John Smith Rock Frozen has rounded out its program with six additional acts. Taking the stage at the festival, held at the Jyväskylä Paviljonki on November 27th – 28th are the intriguing newcomer ALTER ANNALA; pagan metal artist VERMILIA; SAMY ELBANNA (known from various projects); KALLOMÄKI, renowned for their spectacular live shows; RED ELEVEN FEAT. VILLE TUOMI, paying tribute to Faith No More and the ultimate entertainers, MARTTI SERVO & NAPANDER.
“We decided to broaden the lineup and electrify the atmosphere of the previously acoustic stage, at least from time to time. The Frozen Lounge stage will still host traditional acoustic sets and intimate performances, but also more raucous interpretations and, of course, we can’t forget the high-energy atmosphere of our bingo sessions!”
In addition to the newly announced artists, the lineup already features the legendary band EUROPE (active for over 40 years); Finnish heavyweights BEAST IN BLACK and BATTLE BEAST; metal stars DARK TRANQUILLITY and BLOODRED HOURGLASS and SHIRAZ LANE, who are flying the flag high for hard rock ‘n’ roll.
The mixing ratios for our pre-Christmas party cocktail are spot-on, and the product is ready to be savoured! A smooth yet potent brew spiced with a few bold kicks that goes down easy… For 80s kids craving nostalgia, there’s a rare treat in the form of Europe; for fans of the darker side, acts like Dark Tranquillity; and for everyone else, a bit of everything in between.
