Led by TWENTY ONE PILOTS, KRAFTKLUB and YUNGBLUD, organisers has confirmed the first nine artists for the Hurricane and Southside Festival 2026.
This first announcement heralds the anniversary year, in which Hurricane celebrates its 30th edition. The festival in Scheeßel has been successful since 1997 and, together with its twin Southside in Neuhausen ob Eck, founded in 1999, is one of the largest festivals in Germany and Europe.
Few acts unleash the level of transformative power for their fans that allowed TWENTY ONE PILOTS to quite rightly break chart records set by the Beatles or Elvis Presley. This power lies in the reconciliation of rap and rock, as well as the credible struggle against inner demons that transformed the two Grammy Award winners from college friends into global music icons. The duo from Columbus, Ohio, is working unfazed by all their successes toward a clear vision, which will culminate for now with their upcoming album “Breach.” The unbridled energy of their live shows is another reason to look forward to Twenty One Pilots’ performance at Hurricane and Southside.

Protest and pop culture: KRAFTKLUB are known for lightheartedly pouring heavy topics into songs that inspire their audiences. The indie band itself, however, has remained grounded, even though it has now become the voice of a generation. But that was never a goal or an end in itself for the Chemnitz-based band, just as four number one albums in a row were never. For KRAFTKLUB, success seems to be a byproduct of their ability to dress socially relevant lyrics in good music and, in the process, still be able to laugh at themselves. Their fans can also expect this from the long-awaited album “Die in Karl-Marx-Stadt,” which will be released at the end of the year and whose songs will be performed live at Hurricane and Southside.
YUNGBLUD also sees rap and rock primarily as cultural commentary. Since the exceptional British talent is committed to freedom, diversity, and human rights, it’s no surprise that YUNGBLUD also has a lot to say musically – and thus finds an audience of millions. The raw energy of his alternative rock, thanks to poetry, riffs, and breakbeats, is not only unmistakable, but also shot to the top of the global charts with the album “Idols” in 2025.
Eleven studio albums, more than 40 years of success, and legendary status: THE OFFSPRING have achieved just about everything possible and have still remained punks. This also applies to PAPA ROACH, whose twelfth album is already eagerly awaited. The Berlin-based crew BHZ is setting new standards in hip-hop, which DONOTS has defined for punk rock for decades. LEONY not only sang the anthem of the 2024 European Football Championship, but also enjoyed considerable success with her first two albums. Singer and YouTuber KAYLA SHYX has also announced her arrival, proving with her debut album that she is both a successful entertainer and a musician.
