On November 4th, 2014, it was announced that the very first European Lollapalooza would be held in the German capital of Berlin. It was scheduled for September 12–13, 2015, and the proposed location was the historical airport grounds of Berlin-Tempelhof. Since 2018, the festival has been held at the Olympiapark Berlin.
Lollapalooza Berlin is one of the largest music festivals in Europe, taking its visitors on a two-day journey full of music, fun and adventure. The music program is as colorful as the festival itself and has shone in recent years with big names such as The Weeknd, Twenty One Pilots, Foo Fighters, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Kings of Leon, Kraftklub, Martin Garrix, Imagine Dragons, Rita Ora, David Guetta, Casper, Marteria and many more!
Away from the music program, a large part of the festival site is transformed into an interactive show area that invites all visitors to marvel and participate. From glittering festival trends and the fashion market to bizarre showmen to the green oasis of sustainability – the Fashionpalooza, Grüner Kiez and Lolla Fun Fair areas have something to offer for everyone. In addition, Lollapalooza Berlin is the first festival in Germany to be sustainably certified according to international standards (DIN ISO 20121) and tested by the independent testing agency GUTcert.
The smallest festival guests are also taken care of. The Kidzapalooza offers a colorful range of music and creative fun – to create just the right festival environment for the little ones.
