Festival organisers are delighted to announce the first star of the 8th edition of Metronome Prague festival. Canadian alt-rock icon ALANIS MORISSETTE who will perform at Výstaviště on Saturday 21st June 2025.
You can look forward to hits such as Thank U, You Oughta Know and Ironic, as well as other songs from her decades-long career of this Canadian goddess whose lyrics and raw delivery cut pretty deep.
ALANIS MORISSETTE is one of the most influential singers and songwriters in contemporary music. Her work has earned her the acclaim of fans and critics alike, as evidenced by 75 million records sold worldwide, 7 Grammy Awards, 14 Canadian Juno Awards and a BRIT Award.
In 1995, she took the global music scene by storm with Jagged Little Pill, an album that rocked pop culture with its rawness and honesty and continues to inspire fans and musicians across generations. The album’s iconic cultural status has been further confirmed by Jagged Little Pill: The Musical, which opened on Broadway in New York in 2019 and won two Tony Awards. With nine more albums to her name, ALANIS MORISSETTE has cemented her image as a strong and independent musician who is not afraid to be her authentic self and speak her mind.
