About The Festival
Faster Horses, which traditionally draws 40,000-plus daily attendance and is Michigans biggest country music festival and was launched by Live Nation in 2013.
The festival got its name from a quote tied to a 1908 quote attributed to Henry Ford where he allegedly said “If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses” or some variation. Regardless of exactly what Ford said or if he said it at all, founder Brian O’Connell thought the “faster horses” term was a perfect tie-in for a country music fest in the state where Ford built his empire.
