Ellie Goulding Finally Set for Colours of Ostrava 2027 After Four-Year Wait

Ellie Goulding plays Colours of Ostrava 2027

Some festival announcements are bigger than a name on a poster. ELLIE GOULDING is heading to Colours of Ostrava in July 2027, finally giving fans the performance they were promised four years ago, with a fresh album and a catalogue packed with global hits.

There is unfinished business in Ostrava. British pop star Ellie Goulding has been confirmed for Colours of Ostrava 2027, bringing a story that began in 2023 to a long-awaited conclusion. After illness forced her to cancel her planned appearance at the last minute, the singer will finally take to the stage at one of the Czech Republic’s most distinctive festivals.

Goulding will perform on Friday 23rd July, the third day of the festival, which takes place from 21st to 24th July at the spectacular industrial site of Dolní Vítkovice. And this time, she will arrive with more than a collection of familiar hits. Her latest album, I Know Too Much, adds a fresh chapter to a career that has continually moved between atmospheric pop, emotional songwriting and dancefloor-ready anthems.

A CATALOGUE MADE FOR A FESTIVAL CROWD
Few artists can move between a heartfelt pop moment and a full-scale dancefloor anthem quite like Goulding. Her breakthrough came with Lights, the title track from her debut album, which topped the UK Albums Chart in 2010 and helped establish her as one of Britain’s most distinctive pop voices.

Since then, her music has travelled far beyond the charts. Burn remains a festival-ready favourite, while Love Me Like You Do, famously featured in Fifty Shades of Grey, became a global phenomenon and earned her a Grammy nomination. Her collaboration with Calvin Harris on Miracle introduced her voice to another generation of dance music fans, earning the pair further Grammy recognition.

These are songs that have become part of the soundtrack to everyday life, whether heard through headphones on the commute, filling a club at midnight or drifting across a festival field as the sun goes down. At Dolní Vítkovice, surrounded by the site’s towering industrial structures, they should take on a particularly memorable atmosphere.

A NEW ALBUM, A NEW SIDE OF ELLIE
Goulding’s return to the live stage also comes at an interesting point in her musical journey. Her sixth studio album, I Know Too Much, released in September 2026, explores more personal themes while continuing to experiment with different sounds.

The record was made with producer Jack Rochon, whom Goulding discovered through TikTok, an unexpected meeting that underlines how the music industry continues to change. It is another reminder that, despite her established status, she remains open to new creative partnerships and fresh directions.

That evolution should make the Ostrava performance more than a straightforward run through the greatest hits. Alongside the songs that made her a household name, fans will have the opportunity to hear how her newer material fits into a catalogue that has grown increasingly varied over the past 15 years.

With two BRIT Awards, six studio albums and billions of streams behind her, Goulding has more than enough material to create a set that moves between intimate moments and huge communal singalongs.

THE CONCERT THAT WAS NEARLY LOST
The announcement carries particular significance for Colours of Ostrava. Goulding was originally due to perform at the festival in 2023 but withdrew shortly before her scheduled appearance after falling ill and being advised not to travel.

For organisers, finding a new date was not simply a case of filling an empty slot. According to artistic director Filip Košťálek, the team spent considerable time negotiating with the singer’s representatives to make the concert happen in a future edition.

That effort has finally paid off. The festival says it is especially pleased that Goulding will now arrive with new music, giving the rescheduled appearance a sense of its own rather than simply recreating the show that was cancelled.

For fans who were disappointed in 2023, the wait will have been a long one. But July 2027 offers the chance to turn that disappointment into something worth remembering.

ROBBIE WILLIAMS AND ELLIE GOULDING GIVE COLOURS 2027 SERIOUS STAR POWER
Goulding joins ROBBIE WILLIAMS among the first major names announced for the 24th edition of Colours of Ostrava. With Williams bringing his enormous pop catalogue and Goulding adding her blend of emotional songwriting and electronic pop, the festival is already building an appealing mix of headline attractions.

The setting is part of the draw. Dolní Vítkovice, a former industrial complex transformed into a cultural venue, gives the festival a distinctive character that is difficult to replicate at a conventional concert site. Its steel structures, open spaces and industrial architecture provide a striking backdrop for major live performances.

Colours of Ostrava takes place from 21st to 24th July 2027, with Goulding performing on Friday 23rd July. Further artists are expected to be announced as the programme develops.

Four years after her original appearance was cancelled, the story is finally getting its ending. And with Lights, Burn, Miracle and Love Me Like You Do among the songs potentially waiting to fill the summer air, Ostrava could be in for a very special night.
