BICEP LIVE to Headline Labyrinth on the Thames 2027 at Greenwich’s Old Royal Naval College

UK Labyrinth on the Thames BICEP

BICEP will bring their acclaimed live show to one of London’s most spectacular outdoor settings next summer, becoming the first act announced for Labyrinth on the Thames 2027. The Belfast-born, London-based electronic duo will perform at the historic Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich on Saturday 31 July, with a new audio-visual production set against the venue’s iconic architecture and the Thames skyline.

The announcement follows a record-breaking summer for Labyrinth at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, where eight sold-out dates attracted 76,000 people in 2026. The 2027 series will mark the third edition of the event, which has established itself as a distinctive fixture on London’s summer live music calendar.

For BICEP, the Greenwich show will be one of their first newly announced live performances for 2027, alongside a date at New York’s Knockdown Center on 20 March. It also marks their only London headline show of the year, giving fans a chance to experience their forthcoming third studio album in a major live setting.

A NEW CHAPTER FOR BICEP
The performance arrives following the announcement of BICEP’s new album, SLUG, due for release on 29 January 2027. Their first full-length record since 2021’s Isles, the album explores a broader musical palette, moving between rave, breakbeat, vocal-led tracks and atmospheric ambient soundscapes.

Isles reached number two on the UK Albums Chart and earned the duo multiple BRIT Award nominations. With SLUG, BICEP are looking to expand the boundaries of their sound rather than simply revisit the formula that brought them international recognition.

For this album we really wanted to massively broaden what we do. It felt like a new start for us. We wanted to make a much more varied album than our previous ones and push what people might expect BICEP to sound like. We just wanted an album full of surprises and contrast – BICEP

The Greenwich date will be the first opportunity for London audiences to hear material from SLUG performed live following its release. New tracks will be reworked for the stage alongside music from across the duo’s catalogue, with a full audio-visual production designed to complement the setting as daylight fades over the river.

BICEP return to the stage after a three-year hiatus from their live show format, which resumed with a sold-out performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on 26 November 2026. Their recent work has also included the CHROMA compilation and accompanying audio-visual tour, which reached more than half a million people worldwide.

A LANDMARK SETTING FOR ELECTRONIC MUSIC
The Old Royal Naval College has become central to Labyrinth’s identity, offering a striking backdrop for large-scale electronic performances. Its riverside location and distinctive twin domes provide a setting far removed from the conventional festival stage, allowing the production and surrounding architecture to become part of the experience.

We have been listening to BICEP almost obsessively from our earliest days in dance music and they have been an inspiration to us. They’ve constantly pushed the boundaries of live electronic shows,” they said. “BICEP’s live show is one of the best out there, and putting it in front of the venue’s iconic twin domes with the sun going down over the river is exactly the kind of thing we started Labyrinth to do. This will be a bucket list moment for us and we cannot wait to see this show come to life – Nick Castleman and Michael Dicks, Labyrinth Events co-founders

The 2026 series featured 47 artists across more than 70 hours of live music, with performances from Moby, The Kooks, Peggy Gou, Dom Dolla, Overmono and Michael Bibi among the highlights. Beyond the music, the series raised more than £40,000 for its official charity partner, Community Hospice, and generated over 3,000 food bank donations across the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
