Summer Punch Festival is coming back bigger, louder and with an extra day of live music. The Warsaw event has revealed the first names for its 2027 edition, with British metalcore heavyweights ARCHITECTS leading the announcement alongside BEARTOOTH, WAGE WAR, 3OH!3, GVLLOW and KAREN DIÓ.
After making its debut in 2026, Summer Punch is expanding to three days, running from 17th to 19th June at Letnia Scena Progresji in Warsaw. And if this opening announcement is anything to go by, the organisers are determined to make the festival a serious fixture on Poland’s alternative music calendar.
ARCHITECTS are the obvious headline attraction in this first wave. The Brighton band have spent more than two decades building a reputation for combining punishing riffs and intricate musicianship with enormous choruses and emotionally charged songwriting. Albums such as All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us and Holy Hell helped establish them as one of modern metalcore’s defining acts, while their more recent material has continued to push their sound towards bigger, more expansive territory. Their appearance also marks the first of three headliners expected to be announced for Summer Punch 2027.
BEARTOOTH should provide another hefty dose of intensity. Led by Caleb Shomo, the American band have made their name with a combustible blend of metalcore, hardcore aggression and huge, shout-along hooks. Tracks such as In Between and The Past Is Dead capture the balance between raw emotion and festival-sized choruses that has helped turn their live shows into such an explosive experience.
WAGE WAR complete the heavier side of the announcement. The Florida outfit have become a major name in modern metalcore, switching between crushing breakdowns, muscular guitar riffs and more melodic, accessible moments. Their catalogue has plenty to offer fans who like their heavy music to hit hard without sacrificing a memorable chorus.
There is a different kind of energy coming from 3OH!3. The American duo became a defining name in late-2000s electro-pop and party rap, thanks to tracks such as DONTTRUSTME and STARSTRUKK. Their irreverent lyrics, infectious electronic beats and gloriously over-the-top approach should offer a welcome change of pace between the heavier performances. For anyone who remembers the era when alternative clubs were packed with neon colours, synths and unapologetically chaotic dancefloor anthems, this is a particularly appealing addition.
GVLLOW brings a darker, more atmospheric edge to the bill, drawing on alternative, emo and electronic influences. Meanwhile, Brazilian artist Karen Dió adds another distinctive voice to the mix, with a punk-driven approach that sits comfortably alongside the festival’s heavier and more rebellious spirit.
That variety is an important part of Summer Punch’s appeal. Rather than sticking rigidly to one corner of the alternative scene, the festival is building a programme that brings together different generations and sounds, from modern metalcore to nostalgic party anthems and the next wave of alternative music.
The first edition in 2026 featured artists including Bad Omens, BABYMETAL and Three Days Grace, helping establish the event as a new destination for fans of guitar-driven music in the Polish capital. The move to three days in 2027 gives the festival more room to develop that identity, with two further headliners and additional acts still to be announced.
Summer Punch also promises more than a conventional run of concerts, with its wider identity built around music, art, skate culture and the spirit of the alternative scene. The idea is to create an event where different sounds and subcultures can collide, rather than simply putting a succession of bands on stage.
With ARCHITECTS out in front and BEARTOOTH and WAGE WAR adding serious weight to the opening announcement, the foundations are already in place for a powerful weekend. Add the nostalgic rush of 3OH!3 and the more left-field sounds of GVLLOW and KAREN DIÓ, and there is enough variety here to make the first announcement worth paying attention to.
Summer Punch Festival returns to Letnia Scena Progresji in Warsaw from 17th to 19th June 2027. More artists are expected to be announced as the countdown to the festival continues.
