Faith No More, D-A-D and Judas Priest Lead a Monster COPENHELL 2027 Line-Up

Copenhell Denmark 2027 first bands news

Copenhagen’s heaviest festival is shaping up for a huge year, with FAITH NO MORE’S long-awaited return, Danish rock legends D-A-D and metal royalty JUDAS PRIEST leading the charge.

COPENHELL 2027 is already looking like one for the history books. FAITH NO MORE are heading back to the stage, Danish rock favourites D-A-D have been confirmed as the festival’s third headliner, and JUDAS PRIEST are also on board for four days of noise, mayhem and heavyweight riffs in Copenhagen.

Taking place from 23rd to 26th June 2027 at Refshaleøen, COPENHELL is bringing together some major names from across the rock and metal world, with a line-up that mixes legendary acts, modern heavy hitters and a healthy dose of underground aggression.

The biggest talking point has to be FAITH NO MORE. After years of uncertainty surrounding the band’s future, their return to live shows has given fans plenty to get excited about. Their planned performances in 2020 were postponed before being cancelled in 2021, and in 2024 keyboardist Roddy Bottum suggested the band were on a semi-permanent hiatus. Few would have bet on seeing them back on a major European festival stage so soon.

Then came the surprise. In June 2026, the band’s logo appeared alongside the year 2027, setting speculation running. Bassist Billy Gould subsequently confirmed plans for a reunion tour, with Europe on the itinerary. Now, COPENHELL is among the destinations, giving fans the chance to experience one of alternative metal’s most influential bands in the flesh once again.

With classics such as Epic, Midlife Crisis and Falling to Pieces in their catalogue, Faith No More have never been a band that fits neatly into one box. Their mix of metal, funk, alternative rock and unpredictable energy helped shape a generation of heavy music, making this a particularly exciting booking for the festival.

D-A-D, meanwhile, will bring a very different kind of firepower to the top of the bill. The Danish hard rock institution has been doing things its own way since emerging from Copenhagen in the early 1980s, originally performing under the name Disneyland After Dark. Their breakthrough came with 1989’s No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims, which delivered the enduring hit Sleeping My Day Away and helped take the band to an international audience.

More than four decades on, D-A-D remain a formidable live act, with songs including Bad Craziness, Everything Glows and Evil Twin still connecting with audiences across generations. Their 2024 anniversary celebrations proved just how strong that connection remains, with a sold-out show for 17,000 fans at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena and a successful new chapter for the band’s 13th studio album, Speed of Darkness.

There is an extra incentive for Danish fans, too. D-A-D are set to play just one show in Denmark during 2027, making their COPENHELL appearance the place to catch them on home soil. Fellow Danish metal act BAEST will also play exclusively at the festival in Denmark next year.

The headliners are backed by a substantial supporting cast. JUDAS PRIEST bring decades of heavy metal history, while PIERCE THE VEIL, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, AMON AMARTH, I PREVAIL, CLUTCH, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE and ORBIT CULTURE add plenty of variety to the international bill.

There is no shortage of heavier and more left-field names either, with STATIC-X, FU MANCHU, GWAR, WATAIN, KANONENFIEBER, HUMANITY’S LAST BREATH, THE BARBARIANS OF CALIFORNIA, ANGEL DU$T, HAYWIRE, BRUTUS, LADRONES, PINTGLASS, BABE HAVEN, COILGUNS, KING YOSEF, FERAL NATURE, BAD BREEDING, ONDT BLOD, TEAR DUNGEON and BLOOD STAIN also announced.

And that is not the finished line-up. More artists are still to be revealed, leaving plenty of room for further surprises before the festival gates open next summer.

Set against the industrial backdrop of Refshaleøen, COPENHELL has established itself as one of Northern Europe’s essential rock and metal gatherings. With FAITH NO MORE returning to the live arena, D-A-D celebrating their place in Danish rock history and JUDAS PRIEST bringing the unmistakable sound of British heavy metal, 2027 is already shaping up to be a seriously strong edition.

COPENHELL 2027 takes place from 23 to 26 June at Refshaleøen, Copenhagen. Tickets went on sale on 9 October 2026 via Ticketmaster.

More bands are expected to be announced in the coming months.
