Snowboxx is bringing another heavyweight dance music line-up to the French Alps in 2027, with BASEMENT JAXX, GORGON CITY, HYBRID MINDS, INTERPLANETARY CRIMINAL and KELIS among the biggest names confirmed for a week of skiing, snowboarding and serious après-ski partying.
Returning to Avoriaz from 13th – 20th March 2027, Snowboxx has revealed a packed programme spanning house, UK garage, drum and bass, jungle, techno and electronic pop. The result is a line-up that looks beyond the usual mountain-party soundtrack, combining established dance music favourites with some of the most exciting names in the current UK club scene.
But Snowboxx has never been just about the artists on the poster. Set high in the French Alps, the festival combines daytime adventures on the slopes with open-air performances, late-night club sessions and famously lively après-ski parties. For one week each March, Avoriaz becomes a playground for dance music fans who prefer their festival experience with a side order of fresh powder and mountain views.
And with this first major line-up announcement, Snowboxx 2027 is already looking like a tempting proposition for anyone planning their next winter escape.
BASEMENT JAXX, GORGON CITY AND KELIS LEAD THE PARTY
Few names carry quite the same dancefloor credentials as BASEMENT JAXX. The British electronic duo will bring a DJ set to Snowboxx, drawing on a catalogue that helped define the sound of British dance music in the late 1990s and early 2000s. From Where’s Your Head At and Red Alert to Romeo, their music has soundtracked countless parties, and their eclectic approach makes them a natural fit for a festival built around big crowds and unpredictable nights.
GORGON CITY are another major addition, bringing their polished blend of house, garage and vocal-driven club music to the Alps. The duo have become a mainstay of international dance festivals, with tracks including Ready for Your Love and Imagination helping establish their reputation for productions that work just as well on a festival main stage as they do in a packed club.
KELIS joins the announcement as a special guest, adding a pop and R&B dimension to the electronic-heavy programme. Best known for the global hit Milkshake, alongside tracks such as Trick Me and Acapella, she has built a catalogue that crosses genres and generations. Her appearance adds another recognisable name to a bill that is clearly designed to appeal well beyond dedicated underground dance audiences.
The combination of BASEMENT JAXX, GORGON CITY and KELIS gives Snowboxx a strong collection of crowd-pleasing names, while leaving plenty of room for the deeper electronic sounds that have always been central to the festival’s identity.
DRUM AND BASS, UK GARAGE AND BASS MUSIC TAKE OVER THE MOUNTAINS
For fans of faster beats and heavier basslines, Snowboxx 2027 has plenty to get excited about.
Hybrid Minds arrive with their emotive, melodic approach to drum and bass, joined by Tempza. Known for combining atmospheric production with powerful vocal moments, Hybrid Minds have developed a loyal following among fans who like their dance music both uplifting and energetic. Interplanetary Criminal will bring a distinctly UK garage flavour to the proceedings. The producer and DJ became a major name in the modern garage revival, with B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All), his collaboration with Eliza Rose, becoming a huge crossover hit. His sets draw on the sounds of UK club culture while keeping a firm eye on the dancefloor.
Jazzy, meanwhile, has established herself as one of Ireland’s most exciting contemporary dance exports, blending house, garage and infectious vocal hooks. Her appearance should appeal to fans who enjoy the crossover between underground club music and mainstream dance anthems. The announcement also features Artful Dodger, Interplanetary Criminal’s fellow UK garage favourite, alongside Deekline, Navigator and the Jungle Cakes crew. Together, these names give the festival a strong connection to the sounds of British rave culture, from classic garage and jungle through to modern bass music.
With Special Request, Denis Sulta, Oppidan, LF System, Fleur Shore, Mella Dee, The Shapeshifters and TSHA also on the bill, there is plenty of variety for anyone who wants to spend the week moving between house, techno, breakbeat and more experimental electronic sounds.

A DEEP LINE-UP FOR DANCE MUSIC DISCOVERIES
Beyond the headline names, Snowboxx has assembled an extensive supporting programme that rewards a closer look.
Girls Don’t Sync, Charlotte Haining, Sarah Story, Danny Howard, Jodie Harsh and Jess Iszatt add further variety across dance music and DJ culture, while A Little Sound, Bushbaby, KILIMANJARO, DARTZ?
The programme also features Charlie Tee, Denis Sulta, Dubtendo Allstars, Delilah, Fleur Shore, Joshua James, Saoirse, Shaka Loves You, Oppidan and The Menendez Brothers, alongside a long list of emerging DJs and selectors.
That depth matters at a festival like Snowboxx, where the music is spread across different venues and experiences throughout the week. It is not
simply a case of watching the headliners and heading home. Discovering a new DJ in an intimate venue or stumbling across an unexpected set after a day on the slopes is part of the attraction.
The range of styles also means different groups can shape their own festival experience. One day might revolve around drum and bass and jungle, while another could be dedicated to house, garage and disco-inspired sounds. With so many artists announced, there should be plenty of reasons to explore beyond the main stage.
MORE THAN A MUSIC FESTIVAL: SKIING, APRÈS-SKI AND ALPINE PARTIES
Snowboxx’s greatest selling point remains its setting. Avoriaz sits in the Portes du Soleil ski area, one of Europe’s major alpine destinations, with access to extensive skiing and snowboarding terrain across France and Switzerland.
The festival’s daily schedule blends time on the mountain with music and social events. Après-ski sessions at La Folie Douce provide a natural meeting point after the lifts, while the main stage offers open-air performances surrounded by the snowy landscape. When the main-stage programme finishes, indoor venues such as The Boxx and other late-night locations keep the party going.
There is also plenty happening away from the DJ booths. Snowboxx is known for its themed parties, bottomless brunches, musical bingo, fancy dress, inflatable races and the infamous skim-pool challenge, where brave participants attempt to skim across a stretch of water without taking an icy dip.
The format makes the festival appealing even to visitors who are not expert skiers. Avoriaz is accessible on foot, and the event’s music venues, bars and other activities provide alternatives for those who would rather spend their days enjoying the atmosphere than tackling the pistes.
It is this combination of a ski holiday and a full-scale music festival that sets Snowboxx apart from the usual European summer circuit. The scenery is spectacular, the daytime activities are varied, and the parties continue long after the last ski run.
