A brand new dance festival is heading to North London next summer, with JOSH BAKER, KETTAMA and PROSPA teaming up for a huge back-to-back-to-back set at Finsbury Park on Saturday 3rd July 2027. The trio have been announced as the first headliners for Embrace LDN, a new festival aiming to bring together influential names from the world of dance music with some of the artists shaping its future.
Rather than taking the traditional festival route, the opening announcement puts collaboration at the heart of the event. BAKER, KETTAMA and PROSPA will share the decks for a B3B set, marking their biggest headline show together to date.
It is an intriguing combination of three artists with distinctly different connections to the UK and Irish dance scenes.
JOSH BAKER, KETTAMA AND PROSPA GO B3B
Manchester-born JOSH BAKER discovered his passion for dance music as a teenager and has spent more than a decade developing a sound that has taken him from the city’s underground scene to dancefloors around the world.
Irish producer and DJ KETTAMA has built a reputation for high-energy sets that pull together house, techno, rave, breakbeat and UK bass. His approach has helped make him one of the more recognisable names in the current wave of electronic music.
Then there is Leeds-based duo PROSPA, made up of Harvey Blumler and Gosha Smith. Their music draws heavily on classic house and the rave era, while still sounding firmly rooted in the present.
Put the three together and the result could be a very different proposition from a conventional headline DJ set.
A NEW FESTIVAL FOR LONDON
Embrace LDN will take over Finsbury Park in North London for its first edition, with further artists and support acts still to be announced. The festival says it wants to celebrate both the artists who helped shape dance music culture and the new generation pushing it somewhere new. There is also a strong emphasis on the local community, with collaboration intended to form part of the festival’s identity rather than simply being another event staged in the capital.
That makes the first announcement particularly fitting. BAKER, KETTAMA and PROSPA represent different strands of the modern dance scene, but all three have connections to the rave, house and underground culture that continues to influence electronic music today.
With the rest of the line-up still under wraps, there is clearly more to come from Embrace LDN. More artists are expected to be announced in the coming months.
For a festival making its debut, starting with three artists sharing one set is certainly an interesting way to announce itself. The real question now is who Embrace LDN adds to the bill next.
