Tame Impala to Headline Open’er Festival 2027

Tame Impala headlines Opener Festival 2027 in Poland

TAME IMPALA are heading to Gdynia. Kevin Parker’s psychedelic-pop powerhouse has been announced as a headline act for Open’er Festival 2027, with the Australian artist set to take over the Orange Main Stage on June 30.

The announcement arrives as Tame Impala unveil a European tour for 2027, adding another major festival date to what is already shaping up to be a huge summer for Parker. And if you have ever experienced Tame Impala live, you already know this isn’t simply a headline slot, it’s an invitation to disappear into an entirely different universe for a few hours.

Since InnerSpeaker arrived in 2010, Kevin Parker has transformed Tame Impala from a psychedelic rock project into one of the most distinctive forces in modern music. His secret weapon has always been an ability to move effortlessly between psychedelic rock, pop, electronic music and club culture without ever losing the unmistakable Tame Impala identity.

FROM BEDROOM PSYCH TO GLOBAL PHENOMENON

Tame Impala’s evolution has been remarkable. Lonerism established Parker as one of psychedelic music’s most exciting voices, while 2015’s Currents pushed the project into a much wider cultural orbit, producing timeless tracks such as “The Less I Know The Better” and “Let It Happen.”

The Slow Rush continued that expansion before Deadbeat, released in 2025, pushed further into a psychedelic, dancefloor-focused sound. The album’s biggest moments include “Loser” and “Dracula,” while “End Of Summer” earned Parker a GRAMMY for Best Dance/Electronic Recording.

“Loser” has since become another huge chapter in the Tame Impala story, reaching No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Chart and breaking into the Billboard Hot 100 Top 25. The track also featured on the soundtrack of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, giving Parker’s already massive audience another boost.

EXPECT A VISUAL AND SONIC SPECTACLE
For Open’er, the biggest question may not be what TAME IMPALA will play, but how Parker will turn the Orange Main Stage into one giant psychedelic playground.

Tame Impala’s live shows are known for combining enormous production, hypnotic visuals and an immersive sound that can shift from dreamy psychedelia to full-on dancefloor euphoria within the space of a song. Tracks like “Let It Happen,” “Dracula,” “Lost In Yesterday,” “Is It True” and “The Less I Know The Better” are practically engineered for a huge festival crowd.

And while Parker is the creative mastermind behind the studio recordings handling songwriting, production, recording and mixing—the live show transforms that meticulously constructed world into a full-scale spectacle.

THE COLLABORATORS’ COLLABORATOR
Parker’s influence extends far beyond TAME IMPALA. Over the years, he has worked with an extraordinary range of artists, including Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, SZA, Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Mark Ronson, Gorillaz, Thundercat, Kali Uchis, Rihanna, Miguel and A$AP Rocky.

That versatility is perhaps what makes Tame Impala such an exciting festival booking. Parker can occupy the worlds of alternative rock, pop, electronic music and hip-hop simultaneously and somehow make all of them sound like home.

With five albums, billions of streams, major awards and a catalogue packed with modern festival anthems, Tame Impala arrive at Open’er at a particularly exciting point in their career.
