British icons SKUNK ANANSIE will perform on July 10th at NOS Alive 2026, bringing with them the intensity, irreverence, and power that have marked generations over three decades.
Formed in London in 1994, SKUNK ANANSIE stood out early on for their unmistakable sound: an explosive fusion of alternative rock, punk, and dub influences that reflected their multicultural roots. Combining incisive lyrics about social and political issues with the absolutely striking presence of Skin — whose bold aesthetic, unparalleled energy, and openly queer expression became symbols of freedom and empowerment — the band conquered the world and became a true global phenomenon.
With acclaimed albums such as Paranoid & Sunburnt, Stoosh, Post Orgasmic Chill and 25LIVE@25, and iconic songs like “Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)”, “Selling Jesus”, “Twisted (Everyday Hurts)” and “Weak”, Skunk Anansie has sold millions of records and made history by becoming only the second female-fronted band to headline the main stage at Glastonbury in 1999. After a hiatus in the early 2000s, they returned in 2009 and have since maintained a vibrant and consistent presence on stages around the world.
Currently, they are working on new music following the recent singles “Piggy” and “This Means War”, heralding a particularly powerful and innovative creative phase.
A unique and energetic concert on July 10th at the NOS Stage at the 18th edition of NOS Alive.
