Tons of Rock are proud and humble to be able to share their greatest artist release ever. The festival will in 2026 gather legends we have all grown up with, the biggest stars of our time – and the new, uncompromising voices showing us where the rock is headed.
At the top of the line up this far we find IRON MAIDEN, BRING ME THE HORIZON and LIMP BIZKIT. Three bands that have formed generations in their own ways, and now they are meeting at Ekebergsletta.
Organisers believe that together with icons like ALICE COOPER, TWISTED SISTER, MAYHEM and ANTHRAX this will be a festival where all spectators of rock music will be celebrated – from the roots to the future.
IRON MAIDEN – the kings of heavy metal has been the definition of heavy metal for five decades. Their choice to stop by Oslo again makes organisers both proud and touched and they know that when Bruce Dickinson screams “Scream for me Oslo!”, all of Ekebergsletta will explode into one of the greatest moments of the festivals history.
BRING ME THE HORIZON – a modern giant! A band that has grown in record speed now has become one of de greatest live attractions in the world. With their groundbreaking mix of metal, electronics and alternative rock, BRING ME THE HORIZON will deliver their greatest concert ever in Norway at Tons of Rock 2026.
LIMP BIZKIT – finally in Norway! For the first time ever we will find LIMP BIZKIT on Norwegian soil. The Nu metal-icons defined an entire era and are now coming to Oslo to give you a show that will both evoke memories and ignite a spark in new generations. The band has gained an awakening and play huge stadium concerts all over the world, and now it’s our turn!
The legends we never let go of – ALICE COOPER returns with his unique rock theater – a mixture of theatre, shock and timeless classics, a perfect start to the summer vacation with School’s out. At the same time we will finally get to scream “We’re Not Gonna Take It” with TWISTED SISTER who are making a great comeback in their fiftieth as a band.
Festival organisers are also so incredibly happy to highlight some of the greatest names in Norwegian rock history. DUMDUM BOYS, RAGA ROCKERS and THE CARBURETORS are all bands that have made themselves counting in our common musical heritage – and now are sharing the stage with the worlds greatest.
This is the frontline of the Norwegian rock fauna.
MAYHEM and ANTHRAX bring uncompromising energy, while a unique homage to Bathory – performed by members from Watain, Enslaved, Mayhem and Emperor – will be a historical moment at Ekebergsletta. Mayhem better than ever. This is so much more than just a concert. This will be a unique time travel through the history of the band and the genre.
Rounding off this first announcement are KUBLAI KHAN TX, DIE SPITZ, QUEENSRŸCHE and BLOOD INCANTATION showing that the rock and metal are still alive and well!
This is just the first bouquet of artists for 2026, organisers have so much more to offer throughout the fall. Tons of Rock 2026 will be a meeting ground between generations – a festival where we can celebrate both the legacy and the future together.
