C2C: Country to Country brought its country music extravaganza to Belfast in 2024, finding a new home at the SSE Arena after a successful run in Dublin. This expansion was a testament to the strong and passionate country music fan base in Northern Ireland. The festival brings a curated lineup of major artists from Nashville and beyond, offering a mix of established superstars and exciting up-and-coming acts.
With the SSE Arena having a capacity of up to 11,000, the festival draws a significant number of dedicated fans, who embrace the country-western spirit with their attire and enthusiasm. The atmosphere is consistently described as a vibrant celebration of the genre, with fans from different generations gathering to sing along to every song.
Beyond the main arena shows, C2C Belfast, like its London and Glasgow counterparts, also features smaller, free pop-up stages and events, creating a more intimate and communal feel. This unique blend of arena-sized concerts and more personal, songwriter-round style performances makes C2C Belfast a key annual event for country music lovers, solidifying its place as a crucial part of the C2C festival circuit.

The SSE Arena, located in the Titanic Quarter of Belfast, is Northern Ireland’s largest indoor arena and a cornerstone of the city’s entertainment scene. The venue is part of a larger complex known as the Odyssey, which was a landmark Millennium Project that transformed a former shipyard area. The arena itself opened in 2000 under the name Odyssey Arena and was renamed the SSE Arena in 2015 as part of a sponsorship deal. Since its opening, it has become a vital hub for a wide range of events, attracting over 700,000 visitors annually.
It has a capacity of up to 11,000 for concerts and hosts major international music acts across all genres, from pop and rock to country and R&B. In addition to concerts, the arena is the home of the professional ice hockey team, the Belfast Giants, and regularly hosts major sporting events, comedy shows, and family entertainment. Its location in the revitalised Titanic Quarter, with its close proximity to other attractions like the Titanic Belfast museum, makes it a key destination for both locals and tourists.
