Bayside Festival started in 2019 and became an immediate success. Brilliant weather conditions and world-class artist performances put the festival both on the Swedish festival map and gave the citizens of Helsingborg a completely new experience.
In 2022, Bayside Festival was back again after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. With a new location, the beautiful Olympia Park in central Helsingborg, visitors were invited to an area once again lined with artwork, sandy beaches and summer. In total, over 20,000 people visited Bayside over two days (10,500 on Saturday, July 14th and 9,500 on Friday, July 13th). Swedish superstar Zara Larsson delivered her many hits on Friday and world star Kygo offered a big show on the Saturday, ending the festival with a string orchestra.
In 2023, the Bayside Festival broke the attendance record for the third edition in a row with 21,000 visitors over two days. Bolaget and Veronica Maggio attracted large audiences and got the whole of Helsingborg to sing along. World stars like The Chainsmokers and Alesso offered a spectacular light and laser show filled with billion-streamed hits. Both nights were concluded with the Bayside afterparty at sold out clubs Sirocco and Le Cardinal.

Olympia park is the park of many sports and activities. Everything from football to boules is played here and there is an outdoor gym, the Children’s Traffic School and the Sports Oasis. But there are also loads of hidden treasures to discover yourself.
In Olympia park there is plenty of space for exploration and hut building or to take a walk in the shade of the beautiful trees. The park is perfect for dog walking with its illuminated exercise tracks, both on dark December mornings and on a warm summer day.
Here is also the Idrottoasen, Helsingborg’s playful meeting place for spontaneous sports. Here it is easy to try something new, have fun, practice and play together. There is also an approximately 900 meter long lighted exercise track in the forest.
Around the park there are many hidden picnic spots and also barbecue areas. The park has a natural connection to Fredriksdal’s museums and gardens with a mammoth avenue of trees leading up to the entrance. A tip is to start the excursion at Fredriksdal and then finish with a picnic and play in Olympia Park.
