Wu-Tang Clan confirmed for Super Bock Super Rock 2023

Wu-Tang Clan play Super Bock Super Rock Portugal 2023 news

Considered by many the greatest hip hop band of all times, WU-TANG CLAN has captivated audiences around the world since the release of their debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), in 1993. C.R.E.A.M.” (Cash Rules Everything Around Me) and “Protect Ya Neck” are two singles that became hugely influential in rap music.

It all started in New York in the early 90s, when RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa and Ol ‘Dirty Bastard got together to form a band with an 80s martial arts film name. Part of WU-TANG CLAN’S hip hop magic was to harmonise so many different voices under the umbrella of a single band’s musical language. At the same time, each of its members also had a string of successes in their solo careers. Works like Wu-Tang Forever (1997), The W (2000) and Iron Flag (2001) show a collective at the forefront of the best global hip hop, working each rhyme and beat as if it was the first time, both in the studio and live. With references to martial arts films (among other elements of pop culture), WU-TANG CLAN’S mark went beyond music as they themselves turned into a reference point of the pop culture they had adopted. Surprising funk, soul and R&B samples, RZA’s boldest of productions, truly fearless lyrics… all of it contributed to the collective becoming an inspiration to thousands of young people from several generations over the past 30 years.

Today, WU-TANG CLAN’S name is etched into music history. Each of their concerts is a celebration of both their individual but mostly their collective achievements.

In this celebratory spirit, the band will be in Portugal on 14th July, for their concert at Meco Beach.
