THE WAR ON DRUGS, one of the most acclaimed bands in contemporary rock, joins the NOS Alive’26 lineup, with a performance scheduled for the Heineken Stage on July 10th.
Led by Adam Granduciel, THE WAR ON DRUGS has established itself as one of the great names in 21st-century rock, combining alternative sounds with the classic spirit of American rock. The group won the GRAMMY Award for Best Rock Album in 2018 for *A Deeper Understanding* and was nominated for a BRIT Award for Best International Group.
Over the last decade, the band has won over fans and critics with the albums Lost In The Dream (2014) and I Don’t Live Here Anymore (2021), the latter described by Pitchfork as “a refinement of the meticulous and luminous sound that Granduciel has perfected”.
After packing out legendary venues like Madison Square Garden, THE WAR ON DRUGS finally brings their hypnotic and expansive sound to Passeio Marítimo, promising to make this one of the most exciting moments of the three-day festival. When together on stage, the group is known for their intense and captivating performances, transforming each encounter into an unforgettable sonic journey.
The acclaimed band TWENTY ONE PILOTS will make their highly anticipated debut at NOS Alive’26 on July 9, 2026, on the NOS Stage for a show that promises to be one of the festival’s most memorable moments.
GRAMMY Award winners Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun have conquered the world as one of the most creative and innovative forces in contemporary music. Throughout their career, TWENTY ONE PILOTS have amassed over 33 billion global streams, sold over three million tickets worldwide, and have earned dozens of multi-Platinum certifications, in addition to being listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Their breakthrough album, Blurryface, made history by being the first album with all tracks certified Gold or Platinum by the RIAA, a feat that its successor, Vessel, would repeat. The band is also one of only 18 artists in the world with multiple Diamond certifications, earned with the iconic tracks Stressed Out and Heathens.
In 2018, they released Trench, a critically acclaimed concept album that solidified the narrative universe begun in Blurryface and yielded hits like Chlorine, My Blood, and Jumpsuit, the latter nominated for a GRAMMY®. This was followed by Scaled And Icy (2021), which topped the Billboard Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts, marking the biggest rock album debut of that year.
The year 2024 brought Clancy, the band’s seventh album, released by Fueled By Ramen, which broke records and became the biggest rock release of the year, led by the single Overcompensate. Also that year, the duo released The Line, the original theme for the second season of Arcane (Netflix), which quickly conquered streaming platforms.
After the worldwide success of the Clancy World Tour, Twenty One Pilots returned in full force with the announcement of Breach, the album that concludes the conceptual story begun a decade ago with Blurryface. The first single, The Contract, recorded the biggest debut of the band’s career and reached #1 on the Alternative Airplay Chart, becoming their 12th number one.
With the release of Breach on September 12, 2025, the band embarks on THE CLANCY TOUR: BREACH 2025, a tour that spans the biggest stadiums and amphitheaters in North America, culminating in two epic nights at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
In 2026, the Portuguese audience will have the opportunity to experience, live, the energy, intensity and unique creativity of TWENTY ONE PILOTS – in an unmissable show at NOS Alive’26.
