After welcoming more than 100,000 fans from across the globe to SeatGeek Stadium last summer while delivering one of its most talked-about editions to date, organizers behind The Summer Smash have officially announced the music festival’s highly anticipated return to the greater Chicagoland area on June 12th – 14th 2026.
Now entering its eighth year, The Summer Smash continues to reign as the largest independently-owned hip-hop music festival in the world, uniting global superstars, breakout newcomers, Chicago’s hometown talent, and the next wave of culture-shifting artists for one unforgettable three-day celebration of music and culture.
Founded by the Midwest’s leading independent concert promoter SPKRBX and the entertainment industry’s premier next-gen media powerhouse Lyrical Lemonade, The Summer Smash has evolved into more than a music festival – it’s a proving ground for global superstars, a launchpad for the next wave of arena acts, the place where viral moments become permanent chapters in hip-hop history, and an annual summit where hip-hop’s past, present, and future collide.
We started in Chicago with a vision to build something that resonated with rap fans worldwide. This June, The Summer Smash will once again transform its home venue at SeatGeek Stadium into a multi-acre cultural playground – featuring massive main stage performances, once-in-a-lifetime collaborations, immersive brand activations, carnival attractions, elevated food programming, and more.
