Sziget’s beloved LGBTQIA+ venue, Magic Mirror, returns this year in a new location on the brand-new North Field. For decades, Magic Mirror has been the proud, glittering home of the queer community and its allies. A space where fearless self-expression, love, and inclusivity take centre stage – principles that feel more relevant than ever. The Magic Mirror opens daily during Sziget 6th – 11th August in Budapest, Hungary.
For six unforgettable days, Sziget transforms Budapest’s Óbuda Island into The Island of Freedom. One of its most cherished venues, Magic Mirror, is back with a line-up that’s bolder and brighter than ever — blending art, activism, and unapologetic joy. On the program are Mirror Talks, dance workshops, drag and performing art shows, voguing, waacking, queer self-care sessions, disco extravaganzas and long nights — a non-stop celebration of queerness in all its forms.
Spotlight acts include:
✨ Endorphine Berlin (11PM daily): A body-positive, high-octane fusion of acrobatics, boylesque, and voguing directed by Markus Pabst.
✨ Queenz from the UK: Bringing live vocals and drag glamour to the early evening slot with Drag Me to the Disco.
✨ Tepláreň (Slovakia): Bratislava’s cult queer party brings 13 years of cabaret, drag, and dancefloor freedom.
✨ YUCK Circus (Australia): All-female, award-winning comedy circus smashing stereotypes and toxic masculinity, daily.
✨ Ugress: Retropia (Norway): A sci-fi audiovisual trip through nostalgia, media art, and immersive music.
✨ Lady Joker: Where electronic music meets theatre, dance, live vocals, video art, and Theatrical Clubbing couture.
✨ The Movement of Underground (Hungary): Inspiring daily dance workshops to get hearts pounding and bodies grooving.
