Sleaford Mods & Hozier added to the INmusic Festival 2024 line up!

Hozier to play INmusic Festival Croatia 2024

After an excellent concert at the last edition of INmusic festival, SLEAFORD MODS are returning to the Jarun islands for INmusic festival #16!

SLEAFORD MODS, a praised British post-punk duo from Nottingham established in 2007, are known for their raw, ‘minimal and brutal’ musical style and their bitter explorations of British culture and working-class life in the era of austerity. The band consists of vocalist Jason Williamson and, since 2012, musician Andrew Fearn. The controversial and political songwriter and singer Jason Williamson often criticises the political and social situation of the British lower-middle class directly and honestly through his lyrics. Williamson has said that their lyrics are “about real people struggling to survive in a world that’s becoming increasingly hostile to them.”

SLEAFORD MODS gained attention from a wider audience and critical acclaim in 2014 with their seventh studio album, ‘Divide and Exit,’ in which they precisely and bluntly uncover the underbelly of Great Britain from the perspective of the neglected working class. Their globally praised eleventh studio album, ‘Spare Ribs,’ was released in January 2021 as a manifesto of an exhausted and demoralised pandemic society, where Sleaford Mods present the brutal truth, stripped to the bone, without illusions of quick or easy solutions. After an excellent debut performance in Croatia at the INmusic festival in 2022, Sleaford Mods returned to the studio and released ‘UK GRIM’ in 2023. This album is an electronic vision that truly addresses times that were anything but ‘precedent’. The pronounced instinctive energy that irresistibly moves bodies and minds brought ‘UK GRIM’ numerous praises from critics and the audience.

HOZIER, one of the most popular Irish musicians today, is a part of the impressive line-up of INmusic festival #16!

HOZIER, the Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum singer-songwriter, is coming to Croatia for the first time in his career. With chart-topping hits and a commitment to philanthropy, Hozier stands as an icon of musical prowess and activism.

The beginning of HOZIER’s career was marked by the 2013 single ‘Take Me To Church,’ which received well-deserved unanimous praise from critics and audiences worldwide. The song was nominated for Song Of The Year for 2014 at the 57th GRAMMY Awards which brought him global fame and recognition. His debut album, ‘Hozier,’ released in 2014, dominated the world’s top charts, earning numerous awards and acknowledgments for its success. Beyond musical achievements, Hozier’s dedication to social causes has been unwavering. His 2016 charity single, “Cherry Wine,” donated all proceeds to international domestic abuse charities, showcasing his commitment to effecting positive change through his artistry.

The 2019 album ‘Wasteland, Baby!’ received massive critical acclaim entering the US Billboard Top 200 Chart at #1 further solidifying Hozier’s status as a prestigious, globally established musician and songwriter. His impressive collaboration with Italian producer/DJ trio Meduza on ‘Tell It To My Heart’, accumulating over 150 million streams worldwide and broadening an already substantial audience. His latest EP, ‘Eat Your Young’, comprises three intriguing songs exploring themes of sin, self-discovery, and greed, alluding to Dante’s ‘Inferno.’ His third studio album, ‘Unreal Unearth,’ released in 2023, received an excellent reception from both audiences and critics, further cementing HOZIER’s legacy as one of the most prominent composers and singers of this generation.
