With this summers Way Out West just a week away, taking place in Gothenburg from the 8th – 10th August, festival organisers have added UK grime star SKEPTA to their line up!
2016 was a brilliant year for the British grime scene. After a couple of years of stagnation, SKEPTA released his fourth album ‘Konnichiwa’ – an uncompromising attack on the establishment and undoubtedly one of the most important grime albums of the decade. A purely British, raw outburst where the hungry Tottenham rapper SKEPTA shows with meticulous precision just how good grime can be.
Nowadays, the genre is not just an underground affair and SKEPTA is global star headlining big festivals all over the world. Thankfully, success and broader engagement don’t seem to have stolen any of the hunger and passion that once placed SKEPTA on the grime throne. Don’t miss this living legend when he comes to Gothenburg for a long-awaited performance at Way Out West!
