Jelling Festival opens with one of the biggest shows in the festival’s history when Scottish DJ CALVIN HARRIS takes the Main Stage on the opening day. One of the world’s biggest pop names from the past 20 years is coming to Jelling Music Festival when CALVIN HARRIS delivers a gigantic, hit-packed show on Thursday, May 21st 2026.
Scottish DJ, songwriter and producer Adam Wiles, known by the stage name CALVIN HARRIS, has revolutionised pop music and made it electronic through his biggest hits such as ‘We Found Love’ with Rihanna, ‘Promises’ with Sam Smith and ‘One Kiss’ with Dua Lipa, among many others.
Calvin Harris has long been a dream for us. He is among the 25 most streamed artists in the world and has been behind some of the biggest pop hits over the past 15 years. He puts on a gigantic show that can bring the entire venue together – and he hasn’t been in Denmark for a long time. In the 00s, Calvin Harris broke through with an indie and disco-inspired EDM sound on the album ‘I Created Disco’ – produced in his bedroom on an Amiga 1200 computer. At the beginning of his career, Calvin Harris sang both on albums and live, one of very few DJs. In total, Calvin Harris’ worldwide hits have been streamed more than 56 billion times across streaming and video services.
Since then, his career has featured collaborations with Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Pharrell Williams, The Weeknd, Sam Smith, Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Rag’n’Bone Man and Ellie Goulding, among others.
His collaborations with a string of pop music’s biggest stars and Calvin Harris’ vibrant signature sound have positioned him as a spearhead in the movement towards both making electronic music mainstream and shaping pop music in a more dance-friendly and electronic direction.
Album after album, Calvin Harris has conquered charts all over the world, which has earned him a Grammy, secured him the position as the first solo artist from the UK to reach 1 billion streams and placed him as the artist with the most number 1 singles in the UK in the 2010s.
Calvin Harris is uncompromising. He writes and produces his own music and insists on moving pop music by incorporating clear inspirations from, for example, indie, disco, 80s synth pop and, in recent years, funk.
