SanSan Festival is already looking ahead to 2027, with the first wave of artists announced for its return to Benicàssim from 25th to 27th March.
As one of Spain’s early-season festival highlights, SanSan has built a reputation for bringing together some of the country’s biggest names in indie, rock and alternative music, alongside emerging artists and a strong electronic offering. The first announcement for 2027 suggests that formula is very much staying intact.
Leading the way are LORI MEYERS, one of Spain’s most established indie bands, alongside IVÁN FERREIRO, who will bring a special set covering his career from Piratas through to his solo work. LA PEGATINA will add their famously energetic mix of rumba, ska and pop, while SEXY ZEBRAS and SHINOVA bring a heavier alternative edge to the line-up. ZAHARA is also part of the first announcement, adding one of Spain’s most distinctive voices to an already varied bill. Madrid’s ALCALÁ NORTE, one of the more talked-about names on the Spanish alternative scene, will make their mark alongside Argentina’s EL MATÓ A UN POLICÍA MOTORIZADO.
And that is only the beginning!
The first announcement also stretches deep into Spain’s current indie and alternative scene, with BESTIA BEBÉ, CALA VENTO, EL ZAR, LOS PUNSETES, NIÑA POLACA, PARQUESVR, RUFUS T. FIREFLY, SIDONIE, TRIÁNGULO DE AMOR BIZARRO, VERA FAUNA, AIKO EL GRUPO, LINZE, LOS ESTANQUES and a host of other names joining the bill.

There is also plenty happening away from the traditional guitar-led festival line-up. SanSan 2027 is bringing in a broad selection of DJs and electronic artists, with names including ALEX CURREYA, ANDY GREY, BITA, GATE, ELLA PINCHA SOLA, JOHN CORE B2B QSADE, KID RIZZO, MR. KITOS, RAVEPOP and TOXICCOSMOS among those already announced.
It is the variety that makes the first SanSan announcement particularly interesting. Rather than building a festival around one particular sound, the organisers are once again creating a line-up that can move from indie rock and alternative music to pop, electronic sounds and everything in between.
The setting helps too. Benicàssim is already synonymous with summer festival culture, but SanSan arrives much earlier in the year, offering a very different way to experience the town and the start of the European festival season.
With three days of music planned for 25th, 26th and 27th March 2027, there is still plenty of room for the line-up to grow. SanSan has already hinted that more announcements are on the way, meaning this first wave is likely to be just the opening chapter.
For anyone looking to shake off the winter and get their festival season started early, SanSan 2027 is certainly putting forward a tempting proposition.
And with more names still to come, the obvious question is: who will be joining them next?
