Every year, Roskilde Festival begins with First Days – three days dedicated to new music, discoveries and artists on their way towards the bigger stages. Organisers can now reveal the 41 artists playing this year’s First Days programme. The concerts run from Sunday 28 June to Tuesday 30 June and mark the opening of Roskilde Festival 2026.
From fast-rising Nordic artists and new Danish voices to underground discoveries and future festival favourites, First Days is where curiosity pays off.
THE FOREFRONT OF NEW DANISH HIP HOP
We begin with three of the most exciting new voices in Danish hip hop and R&B: OZZY, ZULOO and MICHAEL WILLIAMS. Each of them represents a generation rapidly moving towards the biggest stages – and their First Days shows may well be your last chance to say you saw them before they break through on a much larger scale.
For even more hip hop energy, you can also catch OSKAR WITT and his intense live show, as well as cult collective SMØGMÆND.
POP WITH PERSONALITY AND RANGE
Danish pop is overflowing with strong new voices – and First Days gathers some of the most exciting. Meet BERG, whose tracks “Koldblodet Killer” and “10 ud af 10” have already earned her the nickname Princess Berg from fellow artist Tessa. She joins KAROLINE MOUSING and WILL, who all bring confidence, tempo and undeniable hooks.
If you prefer softer but equally striking performances, you’ll find indie pop from the acclaimed trio KAYAK, intimate shows with AUGUSTA SCHACKINGER, CARLINA DE PLACE and ANA JUÉL, and dreamy art pop from DØTRE. At the other end of the spectrum, ALICE AI merges pop, techno and punk-like chaos into a high-energy live experience
SOUNDS FROM ACROSS THE NORDIC REGION
Rosklide’s Nordic neighbours are also strongly represented. From Norway comes the groove-driven folk group PUMPEGRIS, the folk supergroup DIKET, and the fast-rising rapper SA_G. Sweden contributes both the psychedelic electronic collective FAUNA and the rebellious live phenomenon MAMI UMAMI.
From Finland, GRANDE MAHOGANY brings funky grooves and psychedelic ’70s inspiration, while GLAYDEN mixes euphoric rave with hazy cloud rap. Iceland is represented by the new electro-pop project SCAM, who will perform outside their home country for the first time at Roskilde Festival following an acclaimed debut show.
HEAVY ROCK, METAL, PUNK AND RIOT GRRRL
The programme also dives into the raw and uncompromising side of the music spectrum. PISTOL PISTOL PISTOL and SALVER channel gritty underground punk alongside explosive blends of noise rock and metal.
DEMERSAL and KŌYA push the intensity further with powerful combinations of screamo, post-hardcore and metal, while MORILD creates a darker and more atmospheric sound through sweeping blackgaze textures.
Meanwhile PONNY injects riot-grrrl energy into the line-up with sharp, fast punk songs packed with anger, humour and contagious chaos.
PULSATING RHYTHMS AND CLUB ENERGY
The festival grounds can easily turn into a dancefloor during First Days. MASIV deliver high-energy rave with live drums and heavy electronic beats, while EROS FOR YOU explore a more melodic club sound where euphoria and melancholy meet on the dancefloor.
With MUSKILA & SIMONA ABDALLAH, electronic beats blend with hand-played percussion and rhythmic traditions from different parts of the world. CLUB LIVE brings DJs, musicians and dancers together in an improvisational club format where concert and club culture merge into one shared experience.
ALTERNATIVE ROCK IN NEW FORMS
First Days also offers plenty for fans of guitar-driven music.
GB and DORK move within an alternative pop universe shaped by meditative guitar textures, while A GOOD YEAR creates a cinematic art-pop experience where music and film intertwine. 100%WET and MIAW fuse shoegaze, breakbeats and electronic production into dreamy yet rhythmic soundscapes, while Spawner and Portal Pets lean towards noisier territory with indie rock, grunge and gothic atmospheres.
JAZZ, IMPROVISATION AND OPEN-MINDED LISTENING
At the most exploratory edge of the programme you’ll find music driven by improvisation, curiosity and open ears.
Bassist, composer and singer IDA DUELUND is one of the most fearless thinkers on the Danish music scene, moving freely between jazz, alternative songwriting and experimental composition. For Roskilde Festival she will bring together a specially curated group of musicians from across Denmark’s jazz and alternative scenes.
The Copenhagen sextet ALAWARI ALSO expands the possibilities of jazz. Their music combines explosive energy, symphonic textures and collective improvisation in performances that can feel intimate, spiritual and overwhelmingly powerful all at once.
