ROBBIE WILLIAMS will be the protagonist of the second major appointment in the Historical Walls Area of the Lucca Summer Festival 2023, for the English pop star it is a return after the triumphant shows in both 2015 and 2017 in which she sold out.
On those occasions Robbie had performed in Piazza Napoleone while next July 28th he will take the stage positioned next to the Walls of Lucca to play a show that will see all the great hits of his 25-year career, in the wake of his latest album XXV.
Released in September 2022, album XXV marks the fact – extraordinary, improbable, indisputable – that it has now been more than twenty-five years since ROBBIE WILLIAMS made the leap from boy band Take That to a solo career that no one, not even him, could still imagine!
What has happened since then…well, part of the story can be told through the bravado of sales and statistics: over 85 million albums sold worldwide; thirteen UK number one albums (the most by any solo artist, equaled only by Elvis Presley); fourteen number one singles; most concert tickets sold in one day (1.6 million on November 19, 2005); the record-breaking three nights at Knebworth with 375,000 people in 2003; the parallel big hits of his swing and reunion albums Take That (on release in 2010, the album Progress became the best-selling album of the 21st century, and the subsequent tour was the best-selling UK tour ever); 18 unprecedented and unmatched Brit Awards; the Christmas album, the X-Factor judging panel, the Royal Shakespeare Company musical The Boy In The Dress, numerous collaborations in music, art, radio, books, fashion, TV and film, and on and on and on.. .
The concert on July 28th at the Lucca Summer Festival will be an opportunity to listen to legendary songs live such as “Angels”, “Feel”, Rock DJ”, “No Regrets”, “Millennium” and many others, making that evening one of the unmissable events of the summer live 2023
