Noise Pop Festival USA 2026

Noise Pop Industries is excited to announce that the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier independent music and arts festival, Noise Pop Festival, has officially revealed the Phase One music lineup for its 33rd annual edition, returning February 19th to March 1st 2026.

For more than three decades, Noise Pop Festival has transformed the entire Bay Area into a citywide playground for music lovers. Fans can once again expect a jam-packed week filled with live music, art shows, happy hours, film screenings, and secret after-hour parties, creating a choose-your-own-adventure unlike any other.

This year’s Phase One lineup spans generations, genres, and geographies – featuring an inspired mix of festival alumni, long-awaited returns, and Noise Pop first-timers.

2026 festival highlights include the Chicago-based instrumental collective TORTOISE, returning with their first new studio album release in nine years later this fall offering Noise Pop fans one of the first opportunities to hear the new music; and Los Angeles’ CLIPPING., the sci-fi rap trio led by film star Daveed Diggs, marking their first Noise Pop performance since 2017.

Other national standouts include NYC indie-pop favorites THE PAINS OF BEING PURE AT HEART celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut album, and Denver’s DEVOTCHKA, who return for a special Little Miss Sunshine tribute performance, 20 years after their last appearance at Noise Pop Festival.

Representing the Bay Area’s vibrant creative scene are hometown heroes like Oakland’s own SHANNON SHAW, who is performing an intimate KEXP Live session with a surprise lineup of special guests as the frontwoman of Shannon and the Clams continues her solo rise following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album last year.

The 2026 lineup also includes a mix of buzzworthy newcomers and cult favorites alike, with VS SELF, SUMMER SALT , CHRISTOPHER OWENS and the UK’s beloved THE JOY FORMIDABLE, each adding their own distinct voice to this year’s celebration of independent sound and community.

Noise Pop has always been about discovery – of new sounds, new spaces, and new ideas, Whether you’re seeing your favorite band in an intimate venue or stumbling upon your next obsession in a backroom club, that sense of shared magic is what keeps the Bay Area’s music scene alive – Kevin Arnold, Noise Pop Industries Founder

From beloved returning programs to brand-new collaborations, this year’s festival builds on Noise Pop’s tradition of discovery and community.

Now celebrating its 33rd year, Noise Pop Festival represents one of America’s last true independent music festivals and one of the longest-running festivals on the West Coast – a true citywide celebration of the artists, fans, and venues that showcases the talent of the San Francisco Bay Area’s creative community. Over the course of more than a week, the festival takes over S.F. with dozens of concerts, art shows, happy hours, and after-parties happening nightly across clubs, theaters, galleries, and pop-up spaces.

Founded in 1993 and produced by Noise Pop Industries, the Bay Area’s oldest homegrown independent promoter, the festival has long championed emerging artists while pioneering the multi-venue model that inspired countless events nationwide. Over the years, Noise Pop Festival has hosted early performances by notable artists such as The White Stripes, Modest Mouse, Yoko Ono, Joanna Newsom, The Flaming Lips, Courtney Barnett, Death Cab for Cutie, St. Vincent, and Grimes, among others.

We are so grateful to be able to continue curating this festival for a thirty-third year. It’s always been a labor of love for us, and three plus decades over numerous cultural shifts in this city, we still scratch an itch within the arts and culture  community – Jordan Kurland, co-founder of Noise Pop Industries

Festival Badges and individual concert tickets are on sale now at NoisePopFest.com. Each badge includes access to every general admission concert (subject to capacity) throughout the weeklong event, plus complimentary entry to official happy hours, art shows, and select community events, all at the lowest price of the season while supplies last.

The 2026 festival artwork was designed by the talented Emma Atterbury (@emmatterbury). Atterbury is a popular Oakland–based illustrator whose vivid, skeleton-populated artworks have been featured in the fine art print collections and presented in pop-up exhibitions across the country.
