With a mammoth five UK Top 5 albums – including a Number 1 with 2012’s Come of Age – and a fierce live reputation forged through arena-filling headline shows, the band continue to be a vital band in the British rock canon.

The last time we played Latitude, it felt almost transcendent. a secret gig in the tent, and our first back since covid, that brought tears of joy to our eyes! I can only imagine that watching the sun go down from the main stage as we play on Friday evening will feel just as special. We can’t wait to come back!

The Vaccines

Pop provocateur CAITY BASER is set to make a triumphant return to Latitude Festival. Her initial releases, such as “Friendly Sex” and “X&Y,” paved the way for the breakout success of “Pretty Boys,” marking her first-ever Official Top 40 single in 2022. Anticipation is high for her upcoming mixtape, “Still Learning,” scheduled for release in March 2024, featuring 14 tracks. Notably, she’s a Brits Rising Star nominee, and her ability to craft catchy melodies and relatable lyrics has garnered acclaim, with NME hailing her as “pop’s wittiest new songwriter” and Rolling Stone UK labelling her “Gen Z’s new favourite pop star.”

Dublin singer-songwriter CMAT also makes her Latitude Festival debut. Heralded as “the greatest popstar on the planet,” CMAT has opened for Wet Leg at London’s Royal Albert Hall and supported Florence + the Machine and First Aid Kit. Her 2023 release, “CrazyMad, For Me,” CMAT explores a mature sound, blending mainstream indie, 20th-century country, and 80s/90s pop hits with a camp twist. The album, an abstract break-up narrative, promises a performance  that is bound to captivate.

Arriving in a cloud of glitter and power chords, homegrown Suffolk band THE DARKNESS continue their comeback with a special Latitude slot in celebration of the 20th-anniversary of their debut album, “Permission To Land.” Their journey from Lowestoft to international acclaim in 2003, marked by hits like ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love,’ earned them three BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello. Their comeback story is chronicled in last year’s documentary “Welcome to the Darkness,” portraying their rise, fall, and subsequent resurgence. The Darkness bring their neo-glam, high octane rock energy back to Suffolk for this year’s Barclaycard presents Latitude.
