As we are approaching the biggest rock party of the summer, it’s time for a Rock Stage Malmö round up of the last couple of weeks, with 6 new bands added to the line up – including an exclusive reunion!
THE HEADLINES – With their punk rock energy, strong melodies and political edge, The Headlines is one of Malmö’s most internationally recognised bands. They have toured the world and spread their mix of punk and rock’n’roll – now they’re back on home turf and ready to tear things up on Norra Vallgatan!
MISTER KITE – One of Sweden’s most exciting metal bands from the early 2000s is playing its first reunion gig in over 15 years – exclusively at Rock Stage Malmö! With their progressive and melodic metal, Mister Kite left its mark on both the Swedish and international scene. This is a chance that won’t come back – don’t miss it!
GLANZIG – DANZIG & MISFITS NIGHT – A full evening in the sign of darkness! Glanzig pays tribute to Glenn Danzig’s iconic legacy with a tribute show that mixes the best of Danzig and Misfits. Expect blackness, sizzle and sing-alongs to classics like Mother and Last Caress – all delivered with love and attitude.
MAWISA (CL) – Ritual and raw black metal from Chile’s underground scene. Mawisa mixes Mapuche influences with an uncompromising darkness – both spiritually and sonically. The lyrics are performed in Mapudungun and their live performances are as intense as they are ceremonial. This will be the band’s first Swedish gig – don’t miss it!
CHILDREN OF THE SÜN – One of Sweden’s most acclaimed retro rock bands right now! With their warm, 70s-scented rock and vocals that bring to mind Fleetwood Mac and Jefferson Airplane, Children of the Sün offer a magical live experience with both soul and weight.
RAVEN BANNER – Epic Viking metal from Skåne! Raven Banner delivers boisterous, cinematic and riff-heavy metal with roots in Norse mythology. Powerful choruses, heavy guitars and a warrior heart in the right place – this will be a gig to remember.
These bands join an already maxed out line-up including DEATHCHANT, THE SHOW GOES ON – QUEEN TRIBUTE, MODESTY, ERIKA, COLORSTONE, SABANCAYA, CORRODED, GUENNA, ACORISE, DREAM EVIL, BROWSING COLLECTION, VILT, LACKLAND, FELIN and BULLS ON PARADE.
