LListen up Lowlanders! These are the first 56 names for Lowlands Festival 2026. The countdown can begin: August 21st, 22nd, and 23rd in Biddinghuizen.

TYLER, THE CREATOR: He’s an American rapper, producer, fashion designer, and actor, but the influential Tyler is also increasingly emerging as a singer. All his talent and creativity converge in cleverly designed, spectacular shows.

LORDE: With her new album “Virgin,” the New Zealand singer-songwriter returns to the alt-pop with which she broke through, more electronic than before, but as poetic as ever. Lorde is also in top form onstage.

New Wave: In 2015, New Wave was the new wave in Dutch hip-hop in every way: a new style with accompanying new names, a new audience. A wave so strong that you can still ride it ten years later.

PARCELS: Parcels! What have these Berlin-based Australians packed? Especially plenty of delicious music that’s perfect for festivals: (nu-)disco, electropop, neo-soul, synthpop, soft rock.

SOMBR: New York’s SOMBR crafted an art of unrequited longing and heartbreak. His indie pop songs literally evolved from bedroom creations to stadium productions, complete with theatrical supershows.

TURNSTILE: First X-Ray. Then Bravo. But TURNSTILE’s rise doesn’t stop there. The leader of the melodic hardcore revival returns with an even bigger show to build even bigger mosh pits. NEVER ENOUGH.

2HOLLIS: The 21-year-old American rapper and producer 2hollis is unique in his eclectic mix of club, pop, hip-hop, and emo. Raw, authentic hyperpop: progressive in sound, made for a massive audience.

AMYL AND THE SNIFFERS: The Melbourne punk rockers cheerfully give the finger to sexism, capitalism, and all those other isms we need to get rid of. Enjoy your rage with Amy Taylor and her mates!

ANTOON: All-around pop star and streaming powerhouse Antoon understands that everything hinges on catchy songs about love, falling apart, and getting back up. Sharp, danceable, and sensitive.

BLOOD ORANGE: If there’s no collaboration with any major artists on the agenda, Londoner and multi-instrumentalist Dev Hynes wraps up his songwriting fantasy in Blood Orange. Angelic R&B with classical accents.

CLIPSE: The best hip-hop album in 2025 was by Clipse. In 2023, Pusha T already rocked a packed Bravo with an unforgettable performance. Now that he’s bringing his brother along from Virginia, it’s going to be twice as good.

DIJON: L.A.-based producer and singer-songwriter Dijon is a creator of left-leaning R&B, with phrasing that echoes his rap past, and a penchant for Prince, samples, and his newborn “Baby.”

EEFJE DE VISSER: She’s been part of the Dutch music landscape for over fifteen years and towers above it with a bittersweet quality. Eefje de Visser’s delicate indie pop: wonderfully inscrutable and instantly recognizable.

GEESE: “Getting Killed,” the fourth album by the New York indie rockers, is as flavorful as music can be. Let yourself be intoxicated by the enigmatic Cameron Winter and swing by Onverwachtland or Spannendhuizen.

HERMANOS GUTIÉRREZ: Strumming, picking, bowing, acoustic or with a wah-wah pedal, with fast runs or long sweeps: let the Ecuadorian-Swiss guitar brothers Gutiérrez glide across the strings. Hypnotic.

KNEECAP: Was there a band that was more talked about in 2025 than Kneecap?! But hey, what do you expect when your vocals are so strong and distinctive? Just circle the time slot for this Irish bundle of energy.

MAJOR LAZER: Major Lazer from L.A. draws heavily from the Caribbean, from soca to reggaeton and from dancehall to rocksteady. Diplo & co. just as easily stray into house, hip-hop, or afrobeats. Sunny, energetic, danceable!

MARIBOU STATE: Lovers of melancholy and euphoria will be captivated by the delicate music of this electronic indie-pop duo. Warm-blooded music with downtempo, trip-hop, and soul, driven by passionate melodies.

NIA ARCHIVES: Banger “Maia Maia” and album “Silence Is Loud” cement the star status of the British-Jamaican jungle queen and the powerful sound that #LL23 already bounced off. Welcome back to Biddinghuizen!

NORTH NETHERLANDS ORCHESTRA: Great music deserves a great stage. Under the direction of Eivind Gullberg Jensen, the North Netherlands Orchestra and Concert Choir deliver a moshpit-proof performance of Verdi’s “Requiem.”

S10: S10 is at the forefront of Dutch quality music by being radically herself, and that makes her unique. Despite everything she’s faced, but that’s life. With music as medicine.
